 . This thread is very entertaining....... I once shot a man. Didn't kill him, just got him in the leg. Perfectly safe, if a little illegal. I felt exhilarated by the experience - so much so that I posted up my exploits on the internet with pics. My, I felt good :tt: .

You don't know what you are talking about... happy to lead a group of VXs on a 'spirited' drive through the New Forest where there really are real dangers yet right on my case for exceeding the speed limit on a motorway.

same can happen when going round a blind bend at 70mph into a deer. only then you cant hit the brakes as you will go sideways.

Yes, well done!

The point is, I know and accept that risk, whereas the two of you seem intent that driving at 150mph down the motorway is as safe as sitting at home snoozing in front of the TV!

I don't give a damn how fast you drive down the motorway as long as you don't kill anyone but yourself, I got on your case because 1) you thought it would be good to boast about it, and 2) you attempted to lie when it became apparent that we weren't worshipping you as the king of pushing the accelerator pedal to the floor.

Anyway, this is rapidly turning silly and pointless, so I'm leaving you to it. :P

i didnt say its as safe as snoozing at home.. all im saying is if hes on an empty straight bit of road.. what harms he going to do anyone else? he's not going to crash into me, he's not going to pull out on me without indicating, he's not going to run any of my family over, etc.. just seems everyone on this site is so quick to jump on anyone who speeds.. yet if you fit nitrons to your NA and go flying round blind B roads its fine when IMO thats more dangerous..

btw if i have offended.. anything i have said has been tongue in cheek by the way.. its only an internet forum, not real life :)

How about a deer? A deer could easily give you no more than 200 metres warning between coming out of the bushes at the verge and you hitting it.

Driving round a blind bend at 70mph is plain stupid. Far more dangerous than driving at 150mph IMO.

:groupjump: you guys are funny sometimes. Who cares if this bloke wants to do 150 on an empty motorway during the early morning? Whats likely to happen seriously? the deer suggestion had me rolling about, clutching at straws a bit. and biting on his windups a little. However whats been the funniest thing is the twat saying it wasn't in the UK, I have no idea why? a moment of odd unecessary guilt or embarrassment? maybe he can explain that. My opion on his post, I don't really care, it doesn't affect my life whatsoever and I don't feel what he did was particularly unsafe I agree that adrenaline filled runs round unknown and unpredicable roads with traffic and other obstacles (deer included  ) are much more dangerous than a quick blat upto whatever speed. I prefer the former though as I don't like to boot the living shite of my car. Posting pictures of said incident was a pretty ignorant (in the correct definition of the word) thing to do. I think he gets that now. Anyways, chill out peeps back to dicussing tyre pressures soon :D :poke: chinky chinky

Simply just forgot which side of the Channel it was taken on. Personally, I think anyone who buys a yellow car is a twat. Maybe you can explain that, Noddy?

Just read this for the first time,

I thought i'd add my comment before it comes under lock and key.

IMO - Not a good idea to post the pics on the internet, but 150MPH on a perfectly straight 3 lane motorway in daylight with not a car in sight is 'relativley' safe compared to some of the driving i see every day around town a much lower speeds. As said before the guy did risk his own life, and although it could and does happen, being honest - a deer running out on the motorway infront of this guy at the very second that he happened to be doing 150 on a deserted stretch of road is very very very unlikley.

Ive not taken any car really over 100 as i enjoy the privelidge of driving too much, but lets not all forgot the driver in Telford (JayK i know you will know what im talking about) A Police officer who was 'Speeding Safely' doing 159Mph on the M54 Clicky and originally let off because of his driving experience and the fact that he wanted to test the capabilities of the new policecar. :beat:
