Foxy, it is printed on the side of the spring. The photos Timbo posted a while back when he first got Nitrons show the numbers quite clearly.

In that case the VXT rears are 475. The fronts are at home but I guess they are 375.

When I spoke to Nitron about putting VXT ones on an NA they said it would be fine thumbsup


Edit to say that I'm also guessing that an NA kit should be 375/450, but they will prob sell you what they have in stock. :rolleyes:

Yes probably they sell what they have in stock ,but erlier they told me that the suggested spring rate for the N\A was 375-450,however i think that +-25Lbs-inch make no real difference thumbsup

Ok having read this post, summary for me is (with a VXT), Ohlins is softer then Nitrons. Ohlins maybe more suitable for me for use on the road as track use will be none (or maybe a little in the future!) I would like the car lowered a bit, if you fit either of these do they lower the car? What's the cost of either set up? If I got the parts could i pop down kwik fit to get fitted? Obviously need a geo set up check after! Some time in the future I would like the car to have a stiffer set up (my brother has a ford racing puma that is much stiffer than my VXT but I find acceptable for the road) - any cheaper alternatives? Any thoughts?- cheers

It is possible to buy the Nitrons with the Ohlins spec springs, if u want it. Also I ordered my Nitrons 10 mm shorter to enable me to lower the car to a ride height of 110/120 mm F/R. The SPAX ones are cheaper but has to be a improvement over the stock ones, since they are adjustable. If you are not planning to track the car it could be a mid-range alternative. The cars with Nitrons can be rather harsh on B-roads, I suspect. I´ve calculated that the body roll is reduced 50-60% with my Nitrons.
