comparing my 60ft times i think the second run would of been my best time but i missed 3rd gear

also I only just realised why my first run terminal speed is lower then the others, i let off the accelerator just a bit before the finish line poof

What is it with you and 3rd gear!

Will try an collate all the runs from people (email me if you haven't already given us the data on the day). TB car was winning for ages (which would've been a bit embarrasing really) but Guy and Dan seem to be very close for the win, will get all the data up as soon as we have it. I'm at Rockingham all day tomorrow so wont bee until after that, sorry.

Hi all,

The "older guy" is my Dad  We share the VX and I couldn't make it last weekend :( but am hoping to go next weekend :D

The car has recently come back having the bulk of stage 5 work done but still needs to be fully mapped and have the new bigger CC fitted to get to 300bhp. Is currently 280bhp & peaking at 349 lbs torque. Dad was taking it "slightly easy" (I am told :) ) as the engine has been completely rebuilt & worked last month. I may give it a bit more next weekend but don't expect much difference before the bigger CC is fitted & final mapping is done.

Stuart

PS: Anyone want to buy an original Courtenay CC (good for stage 3, massive diff over stage 2 in reality)

hey stuart what was the quickest time of the day for your car then? nice to speak to your father. ive recently fitted the new pro alloy chargecooler and id strongly advise wiring the fans to a switch in the cabin. when i was at santa pod on sunday it was so hot, anyway dipped my figner in the CC tank, flicked the fans on via the switch and after a minute the water was nice and cool coming through! certainly helped things i think! also it kept my coolant temp down to below 89degrees whereas everyone else was queing up and their temps were going to 100+ and the fans cutting in then briefly to take it back down. definately helped when stood around having the fans on a switch.

He ran fairly consistantly around 13.2, so nothing to write home about but he was pleased for a first effort & not running 100% Our intake temps measured at Courtenay get way to high with the old CC and the engine management comes in. Is going to be booked in for a few weeks time hopefully!

I think it was originally £1500 + fitting so reckon £950 for all the main bits would be a fair price. Does that make you :jump: or :o ?! Need to check with Courtenay if you would need to replace any of the pipes etc. Bear in mind it is good for up to 265 bhp mods but much more than that and you will need the new one at £1640.

Cheers
