I replaced mine yesterday and the lenght of the screws were:
front: 70mm + 50mm
back: 55mm
There wasn´t any problem to use a 55mm screw in the front.
Ar5e thats what I'd heard 55 mm in the front isn't the issue the availability of 55mm length bolts is. Nick said 60mm fitted, I'll chack at the weekend.

But I bought 60mm, wasn´t any problem at all in the front but on the rear we had to make some more thread in the hole. Or just saw the screw to the right length.
Maybe it´s best to just have like you have order, 50mm + 70mm.
The moment for 10.9 M10 are 65Nm.

On the length issue I've done a bit of research on engagement length of bolts in threaded holes and found:
The old school design boys at work reckon that it should be minimum 1.5xD, therefore 15mm.
I found this on the internet
Which would give a minimum 10mm - 15mmThread engagement length. In general, according to Machine Design magazine, the minimum recommended length of engagement is 0.75 to 1 times the bolt major diameter for threading into steel and other materials of comparable hardness; and 1 to 1.5 times the bolt major diameter for threading into brass, cast iron, and aluminum. These lengths of engagement specified are for full threads engaged, not overall bolt length. Regarding partial threads in the chamfers on the ends of internal or external threads, FED-STD-H28/2B, 1991, Sect. 7.7.2, p. 61, specifies that approximately half the countersink or chamfer depth may be included in the length of engagement calculation.
And I also found a worked example in a bolted joint training manual for calculating the critical engagment length for thread stripping, which for a M12 10.9 in SG cast iron (I'm pretty sure this is the material combination we have in our case) gives a critical engagement length of 8.8mm.
So I'll look at what engagement we have and decide what length to go for.
