Lots of guests & advertising, I agree!

If there are any women out there, size 14 or less with D or more cup size, who fancy a ride in one of these cars, contact me at tolksee@hotmail.com

I went to Morrison's today just to use the cash point - it's the closest one to where I live ... and ... I almost got rammed by someone in a battered old transit van. He was hurling abuse at me for being a wreckless driver with a killer car ... and a load of random crap about how his daughter was killed by a speeding motorist and that people like me for buying these ridiculous cars are responsible. Tell me ... I heard all of that ... curbed my gorgeous, just polished and tyre blacked car ... TO GET OUT THE WAY OF HIS FOUL LANGUAGE AND VAN THAT WAS CAREERING TOWARD ME!!! Was I moving quick??? NO! Did I move quick to get out the way ... YES!!! Seriously ... I invisaged having to arrest him myself for the multitude of offences he was going to commit! My car is now in the garage ... where she shall stay until all of this dies down. Yes he was driving too fast, as I said before - there's a time and a place for speed. One thing to remember is we all play devils advocate from time to time, and a forum is a place to share views and opinions ... keep it neutral guys. No one deserves the flack they're going to get as a result of this guy. Yes I'm a copper/pig/the fuzz/ *insert insult here* and quite a few of us have fast cars. But ... we have advanced driving under our belts (blue light runs, RTC clean up experience ... bits of bodies pinned inside cars or strewn across roads ain't nice), as do you lot who do the track days. Did this guy have the experience and knowledge to drive a car safely at that speed? Oh ... and was it a passenger that took the photos for him or was he speeding and using a mobile phone?

Hardly worth posting a comment TBH

Agreed, he wasn't doing any harm....we all speed from time to time etc.

However, he broke the law and was stupid enough to post 'evidence' of that on a public forum in a sort of 'bragging' manner. I guess his responses in the original thread did him no favours either

As for somebody shopping him in to the Sun? As said previously, it could easily have been a 'guest'.....I work with a bloke who trawls websites looking for such things, and actively asks for reports of such

Anyway......I couldn't help notice the similarity....

Or maybe the ugly one out of Boyzone??

Not read all of this thread but remember the original, a few comments from me: Was this in the paper or just on the website? Not had anyone at work say anything to me....yet. Only one person to blame for all this. Where is Angtv now? Where are all these Sun reader guests, dont they have owt to say? Tashy is the funniest guy on the site, I thnk I might go search all his posts for a laugh.

I've read both threads regarding this issue and have to say I'm appalled. The glee some of the users on here seem to have at seeing someone grassed up to the Sun with possible police action is disgusting. antgtv's post was ill-advised at best – whether the pics are real or made up is irrelavant – and I reckon antgtv understood that once all the replies came in. Yes, he gave out some digs but only after receiving several himself. I'd say the site gave him quite a roasting and that should have been enough. But for someone to tip-off the Sun is sick. What was the motivation I wonder? If the one who tipped-off the Sun was so appalled at such apparent fast driving, why not just go to the cops? To go to a rag smacks of envy, spite and jealousy: 'he said he can drive his Vauxhall faster than me, and I don't like it!'. Just pathetic. Reading most of these posts makes me think I'm reading a Wimmins Institute forum, it's as if no one ever speeds in their sports car. I'd lay cash that everyone who has denounced this supposed fast driving has hit a ton in their VX's on a motorway at some point. And as for the 'how will we look?', 'tarred with the same brush cos we have the same car' brigade, jeez, get a life. If your biggest worry is that dumbos or cops are going to permanently think everyone who has a VX drives over the speed limit because of one person then you need to find some more worthy things to worry about. And hey, you don't speed remember, so what's the problem? I have to say some members have posted more rational comments, and they've been a refreshing change to the majority, but so many of these posts are moronic. I've always stuck up for these cars as I like them, whereas many just won't get past the Vauxhall badge, but I would never consider one now if this is what the majority of owners are like. And as for the personal comments about antgtv's looks etc, WTF?? Who gives a xxxx what another guy looks like – were you guys slagging him off wanting to date him or something before you saw the pic? In my book, if you want to slag someone's physical appearance off you'd better be beyond perfection yourself. And for those so concerned with how VX owners will look after this 'speed' story was made public (something the snitch obviously wasn't bothered about), you should worry more about some of the posts on this thread. Like I said, I wouldn't touch a VX now.

If the road had been a no-limit road in Germany there would be no issue. 150mph is not always dangerous.

He has my sympathy.

Whoever grassed him up should be ashamed of themselves.

Congratulations you made the national news maybe you can make some money by selling your story to some of the other Rupert Murdoch tripe with hair on rags. Seriously i didnt realise people actually read the sun, i thought it existed solely to provide chip shops with something to use as a wrapping material. Whoever grassed him though is the lowest form of life, up there with child molesters. Fancy selling your soul to a devil like the Sun newspaper. Looking on the bright side if he gets banned there may be a cheapish tubby comin up for sale :)

While I have little sympathy for the chewbaca lookalike involved, surely the police have better things to do than investigate this tosh. The evidence ? a few comments and a photo that could have easily been doctored, are hardly concrete evidence. Must be a slow news week that's all I can say. No wonder stabbings, gun crime and other violent crimes are an at an all time high the cops are all on the net :flame: so if you are reading this Mr plod get of your ass and catch the scumbags who beat my mate to within an inch of his life last month trying to protect his girlfriend. Then again that would require you getting off yer fat arse :groupjump:
