To be honest why would they be interested? They've had their story, surely there's more interesting news to write about!! If they wanted to turn up to a meet to see people I say crack on, it would be a laugh. Only the people who have something to hide would be bothered? I think that article didn't paint us it too much of a bad light as it showed other members disapproved of Ant's actions. And come on lads you all know you would like some page3 stunner's laid over your car (well almost wouldn't want to damage the clam!!) for photos!!

OMG!

I am amused, but equally it must have been someone on here who shopped him out (unless someone at the Sun owns a VX...), which is a bit out of order, in my opinion.

Seems a bit much, to me.

Snoop, never mind Sun reporters.. you would be suprised how many officers of the law there are on this site, all VX owners. thumbsup

You can't blame them for shopping the guy, at the end of the day these people [police] are the ones that have to clean up the mess, they are the ones who have tell familys that their son/daughter/father/mother was killed by a tit going too fast.

Like some else said 'we all break the speed limit from time to time' , mostly when we're caught up in the moment.. but to go out and intentionally drive like a cwnt just for a picture is a bit stupid :beat: :(

True, If your planning on doing something like this use an Airfield / Trackday or just go to the Autobhan its not far. Been there done that on the Autobhan and you can drive with so much more concentration on your car as you know its legal.

Would you still be insured if had an accident at high speed on the Autobahn?

I feel bit sorry for him,I said in a previous post he was a bit silly for posting the photos and bragging but that was when I thought the speed he achieved was abroad- to do this in the uk and bragg about it is barking mad!!! Ive only recently joined this forum which for me it is sooo cool and informative and there is a great sense of community among us all however i am now somewhat worried what you can actually say on the forum before the PIGS turn up at your doorstep...........surely they should be out there catching real criminals or are they to busy screwing motorists!(though doing 150 mph the pigs are well within their rights). Just in case any pigs or national tabloids/red tops are reading this my car is 100% legal at the moment and has been restricted to 0 MPH for the last 8 weeks-presently have the rear clam replaced in some workshop somewhere in the uk!!!!!!!!!!

Confirm with your insurance company, if you have european cover then yes. Although as the Nurburgring is a public toll road, most insurance compaines now specifically state that your insurance does not cover the Nurburgring.

I have two points to make, 1, Antgtv is clearly a c0ck and deserves all he gets, 150mph on public roads is ludicrous in any circumstance, all it takes is for another car to join the motorway at speed and not see him because of his speed or mis-assess his speed (how many of us could tell that a car was approaching that fast) and it would all be over. If you wanna drive at those speeds, go on a track day where your only likely to do yourself harm. 2, ffs, stop backing this tw@t up, it's making us look like a bunch of idiots who think it's cool to travel at those speeds on public roads. We all know that there are individuals on here, but "Joe Public" right now is seeing us as a collective group and the impression they have will be of the collective group. Lets try to make sure we give them the right impression, shall we?

sod the fines etc.... just think how much fuel he was using and damaging the ozone layer etc.... surely in this day and age thats mroe of a crime than the speeding itself? (well to hippies it is lol) i for one never get out of 1st gear nor use more than 10% throttle travel...... I dont read the sun though as im not retarded enough....... sorry Mr murdoch (i do have a sky subscription though so all is good again)

people are not backing him up, what he did was clearly wrong and breaking the law, and there is punishment for that. what im saying is that the VX220 Owners now have unwanted publicity, now have a watchful eye upon us. and i personally think it is a bit harsh if someone actually went out of there way to report this guy. he should have done some trackdays instead, would have been cheaper in long run with the fine he is most likely to face.

You can't point the finger at anyone guy, after just reading 'my first car picture' post for the first time - it looks like Ant upset quite a few people.

Geesh the things you miss when on holiday
