Are non-Vx owners allowed? I have a friend that enjoys a good game of Forza, but in real life he drives an Evo 9. Obviously, he'd have to drive a Vx in the race! :)

Yeh as long as he joins the forum and posts his own name down he is welcome.

I also forgot to say if there are more than 8 people in the league then it will run as 2 or 3 rooms at once random driver selection for each room etc. But we will cross that bridge when we get to it

Are you still going with any level of tune? Surely it will mean that everyone is just at top tune and the races become spread out with undrivable cars and lots of nasty shunts? I think it might be an idea to cap the PI, just in the interest of close racing rather than outright speed..?

VX220’s ONLY - level of tune pre defined by the current league title

The first League will be Standard
then we will agree on a PI cap for future leagues

I don't think tuning actually changes your PI does it? Upgrading parts on the other hand does...

Yep, my bad, I just read that in the other thread and was on my way back here to edit.. you're too quick (and obviously have nothing else to do!) :P

Better work on my tune then.. I gave up on the VXT ages ago, thought it was horrible in game!

About Tangos comment in the official thread about steering wheels not being allowed. In my experience the wheel actually makes you a bit slower because you have to deal with feedback and information that the controller filters out. I only use it because it is so much more fun. I don't mind using the controller, but what's the reason for the no steering wheels rule?

Maybe the league should be closed to players who sit on armchairs? They're obviously much more supported than those of us who just use a sofa.

I call for a ban on all players using ironing boards to support their steering wheel!

Also, any players that are quicker than me should be discounted from joining this league

As for those players who have a broadband connection greater than 4mb...well, they shouldn't even be allowed to own Forza2 :9mm:

Don't get me started on people with 42"+ LCD TVs... :poke:

Wohh easy

My assumption was made on the fact that those people with steeringwheels are the ones with the fastest time trial times....

2 and 2 made me think that the wheel is an unfair advantage.

but if its that much of a problem then fine carry on using it i will amend that rule

What about the STM, TCS and ABS options?

Why is ABS ok but not the rest?

I would suggest you leave all options up to the individual driver. Those that need some of these options will not IMHO be the ones that won't be up at the front contesting for the lead anyway.

I'm not sure that's true, it's a lot more forgiving with the aids on- certainly on the higher end cars and I don't think turning them off results in quicker lap times either. As for why is the ABS ok, I guess because the real Vx220 has ABS but doesn't have the others.

There's been at least one that has had traction control added. As we can mod the cars in Forza, why can't we add traction control?

As long as we standardise on a set of common rules I suppose there's no real reason either way, except preference. Personally I don't mind whether they're on or not, in fact I've played it more with the aids on so it would suit me better.

Not that I want to cause trouble or anything, but.. I find that in the groups that I race with the quickest people are generally only running ABS, whereas the people at the back tend to run most assists. I don't have a problem with TCS because I can be quick without it, I'm less a fan of STM but I think it actually makes laps slower in most cases. One thing I would not hesitate to ban though is the racing line, I think it's actually more dangerous than it is helpful as it doesn't take into account cars in front of you (I assume) and makes slower drivers artificially quick and puts them in situations that the line suddenly can't help with..

I just feel if rules are added then it just weights any racing in favour of those are suited to the rules. I tend to race with ABS & TCS on and STM off, although I raced the other day with ABS turned off and didn't find too much problem with it.

Ultimately, this is supposed to be for fun...why complicate things and disadvantage people for no apparent reason?

And why dont we just not bother ffs.... I put the car to what it comes as standard ie.. No Upgrades.. No TCS.... No STM... Yes ABS Why are there problems with with. Limiting anyone from using the aids also means its a leavel playing field ie its more about skill and ability than a computer helping you... I cant believe im going through this after all the "is it ready yet" bull comments we have been having cant we just get on with it and use these paramiters please. If after the first 4 week league its seen as a problem not having these aids then we can re investigate enabling them **edit** Also Tango your argument works both ways, those used to ABS and nothing else will find it just as hard to get used to All on...!!!
