Well, I've been contacted formally by the company in question - Customize Bodywork, complaining at the content of this thread concerning comments that are allegedly "inaccurate and libellous but also racially offensive in nature" This forum has always stood resolutely behind the concept of free speach both from all of its members and any member of the moderating team, however I would now ask that all members (new or old) who have posted here review their own posts for content of potentially racist nature, any post which is not self policed will be moderated as any and all racist content is not tolerated in any way. However, as regards any allegation of inaccuracey or libel the main question is one of fact. This whole issue rests on the question of whether the seller of this vehicle has engaged in or has prior knowledge of repair of the vehicle they are offering for sale. If the facts emerge that the seller of the vehicle in question had no prior knowledge of any repairs or has not engaged in any repair work on the vehicle offered for sale then I would expect all the members of this site to offer their apologies to the seller in question in the same way that all decent people apologise when they are wrong. However, if the facts emerge that the seller did indeed have prior knowledge of repair or has engaged in repairs themselves and has then offered the car for sale on this site without full disclosure of this information then so be it, you reap what you sow. The content of any formal investigation will be sent to the police and trading standards authorities for their attention. In the meantime this thread will NOT be locked but I ask that all members, new or old keep comments to a civil nature as befitting a friendly car site. Thank you. As an aside, as the UK's only VX220 specialist, Thorney Motorsport is prepared to undertake a full inspection of this car pre or post any sale free of charge for either the current or any potential new owner to ascertain independantly any issues as regards quality or existance of repair work. I don't make this offer as some kind of response to veiled threats of legal action (before I tuned cars I was a solicitor where I specialised in.......you guess....libel, so I'm not about to get bullied by theats of legal action) but as this whole affair seems to rest on the car itself and its history surely its in the best interests of both the seller and any potential buyer to know. If its been repaired we'll know, if its in good shape, we'll know - surely the only thing a genuine seller is interested in?

Hi all, Jimmy here from Corsa-C|UK. Had great entertainment reading several pages of this thread and has really made me chuckle in some places after it had got posted up on Corsa-C! Top marks to the moderators and members here, its amazing to see the lengths you will go to, to protect your members from being ripped off! I hope this does all get sorted soon either way. Kind regards Jimmy

I don't like racially offensive content - and i hope i've never said anything that others would class as racial.. it seems to me that all racial comments were from non VX [one post wonder] members. But i have to add that Imran was quick to take the p*ss out of the Welsh and Scottish - which in my eye is/was racially offensive. Im i wrong to say that or do you have to be black to complain and pull the racial card?

Somehow I can't take that comment seriously given your avatar.

This race card malachy is utter bollox. If anyone has defamed whatever race he happens to be a part of, it's him.

Greetings from the AirgunBBS forum :D. This thread is certainly developing some notoriety on the net!

I have to say, it's good to see the forum community spirit existing on sites other than my usual haunt, and hats off to the net-sleuths for exposing such a dodgy sale... I guess the icing on the cake would have been if he had insisted that payment be made via Western Union ;).

Can you guess? you p***k im married, i dont have the problem of wandering if i am straight or not, sounds like you may have doubts about your self pal. Maybe one of your forum chums could bend you over, you'd probably enjoy it.

Err, I think legally you still have to call them 'civil partnerships' but I'm sure no-one will judge you on that :P.

Hi from the bmw7resource/fiatforum Just a question to the mods have the IR, DSS, Trading standards been contacted yet, we have a few government officials & police on our site and am sure that it can be organised unless already done so. Well done on your initial work, now maybe time to give these type of traders a real headache. Best wishes Alan.

Thorney good point well put. thumbsup Howeva surely the questions and querys that have been put to Imran could and should of been answered a long time ago, and they havent. Why. As I see it initially a few mods picked up on Imrans scam ? and having played the innocent card somewhat poorly then resorted to name calling then threats.
Yes racial abuse was mentioned. Allegedly? even his those which follow his faith are disgusted with him and myself I would of prefered that they had contacted him personally to vent there views and not on here, But again it is an open forum so who is to say what is right and wrong.
Every jock and taff, not to mention individuals has had his/her "Leg pulled" since I have been a member on this site for the last 2 years. It is part of the friendly banter that has and will go on once the 200,000 visitors have gone.
Imrans attitude towards people who have genuine affection for these cars stinks, It could well of been a scooby, Lotus, BMW  trabant or whateva car rocks yer boat. At the mo though its us. I feel the rest of the motoring world has found out, caught up wi Imran and given him a verbal lashing.
It seems like the bullies been bullied, dont like it and hes gone to the head teacher (Thorney) for a blubber and there picking on me session. Sod him.
I hope he takes up your offer on a free inspection of the car, AND I hope the car looks and drives superb, Howeva again that is not what is in question and never has been.

Finally any chance of a free inspection of my car, ( Thorney not Imran), and got to say Thorney yer spellings improved 10 fold, ave you been back to skool. :D
