Somehow I can't take that comment seriously given your avatar.
But i have to add that Imran was quick to take the p*ss out of the Welsh and Scottish - which in my eye is/was racially offensive.

Hi from the bmw7resource/fiatforum
Just a question to the mods have the IR, DSS, Trading standards been contacted yet, we have a few government officials & police on our site and am sure that it can be organised unless already done so.

Well, I've been contacted formally by the company in question - Customize Bodywork, complaining at the content of this thread concerning comments that are allegedly
"inaccurate and libellous but also racially offensive in nature"
This forum has always stood resolutely behind the concept of free speach both from all of its members and any member of the moderating team, however I would now ask that all members (new or old) who have posted here review their own posts for content of potentially racist nature, any post which is not self policed will be moderated as any and all racist content is not tolerated in any way.
However, as regards any allegation of inaccuracey or libel the main question is one of fact.
This whole issue rests on the question of whether the seller of this vehicle has engaged in or has prior knowledge of repair of the vehicle they are offering for sale.
If the facts emerge that the seller of the vehicle in question had no prior knowledge of any repairs or has not engaged in any repair work on the vehicle offered for sale then I would expect all the members of this site to offer their apologies to the seller in question in the same way that all decent people apologise when they are wrong.
However, if the facts emerge that the seller did indeed have prior knowledge of repair or has engaged in repairs themselves and has then offered the car for sale on this site without full disclosure of this information then so be it, you reap what you sow. The content of any formal investigation will be sent to the police and trading standards authorities for their attention.
In the meantime this thread will NOT be locked but I ask that all members, new or old keep comments to a civil nature as befitting a friendly car site. Thank you.
As an aside, as the UK's only VX220 specialist, Thorney Motorsport is prepared to undertake a full inspection of this car pre or post any sale free of charge for either the current or any potential new owner to ascertain independantly any issues as regards quality or existance of repair work. I don't make this offer as some kind of response to veiled threats of legal action (before I tuned cars I was a solicitor where I specialised in.......you guess....libel, so I'm not about to get bullied by theats of legal action) but as this whole affair seems to rest on the car itself and its history surely its in the best interests of both the seller and any potential buyer to know. If its been repaired we'll know, if its in good shape, we'll know - surely the only thing a genuine seller is interested in?
