What an poof .... If you want to say you don't like it, go ahead! No problem, it's my car, if you don't like it, that's ok, but be a man and say it to my face, not the next day....

But once again the :gayfight: Seloc-forum shows it's narrowminded face, that a few Lotus drivers have. If he would have spoken to me I would have explained why I bought the VX and not the Exige. But it's better looking now anyway so I really don't give a s***. I improved my car step by step because I am a normal hard working guy and now it's looking better than a Exige and a lot better driving than a Exige.... An employee of Lotus Holland borrowed my car for a TV-show because it's so much better than a Exige...! Must be irritating that I have the GT3 scoop befor he does

What a sad guy! :o

Now that I see the solution for access to the storage, I like this a lot more. I somehow had the idea that the whole standard bootlid was retained, but this is quite elegant.

The obvious question is whether or not this has any aero advantage or disadvantage. The whole Exige rear clam was designed for aero benefits. It would be interesting to test...

It's a really nicely done conversion. I will admit that it is not the look I personally would want, but that's only because the Exige is also a bit too flashy for my own tastes, not a comment on what you have achieved. I like it without any additional wing on the back; I always thought that if you could get all the aero benefit you need with the general body shape and undertray, then that's the way to go.

Seems to me that you have added the worst feature of the Exige to the VX, namely poor rear visibility and gone on to top that with a more inconvenient boot lid

But, as you say, it's your car to do with what you like.

I love it!!!

Without trying to take anything away from this one of a kind car....

I know cost makes changes to plans and possibilities, but if possible i would have suggested it would have been more 'user friendly' (definitely not easier to make) if the remaining boot lid was attached to the new engine cover, therefore you could keep the existing lock/unlock mechanism. But you would then need to manufacture new or move the boot hinges to the roll bar, and mount the exige boot lid to gas struts. i.e like the exige opens its boot!! Don't get me wrong i'm not saying i could do better as i'm very sure i can't!!!

Oh and also noticed it would then probably have to be two piece, as the mod currently includes the rollbar cover so no room to pivot.

This is in NO way a complaining post as I really to love the look

Just throwing another point of view into the mixing pot. As some places i park, bonnet pins aren't secure enough to stop the casual "lets have a look in there" (i know if someone really wanted to get into a VX its a piece of p*ss, but still it stops the casual thief)

Well done keep up the inventiveness, its great to see someone taking things a step further.

Well you could fit a lock quite easily for the boot if you want to. As for not being able to look through the coupe part, that I had to get used to but I really don't miss it. Thought that I would get in trouble without by backview-mirror but I did not. There's a professional photosession coming up soon, so I will post pictures when that has happened! Thanks for all the great compliments!! B)
