id say its been repaired without a doubt due to price and certain misgivings - but that shouldnt let someone be put off as it doesnt seem too far over the top of the price range for a cat d. 8500 for normal ish would be expected, 9300 fro a LY? id probably take a look should have hard top too unless it was sold by previous owner.

Loads of evidence of a 'repair' there. No denial of a repair though. LY number would be a help....dont forget, a new clam doesn't make a VX a 'ringer' thumbsup

Agreed. I'll get my mate to give him a call in the morning, although if it is crash repaired i think it should be a lot cheaper.

Thanks, just doing my bit. I hate scammers, why not just advertise it as what it is and save all the grief.
After all we all know the old saying "what goes around comes around" and it normally does!

Is there any way you can warn "ginger" while i was chasing the info on the cat c vx i found that the accident somehow has followed his private plate to his new tvr tamora, wierd never seen that happen before, it actually has the vx220 accident and info logged against it, should be easy to clear up, if he can contact me then i can give him the relevant information.

I have no doubt that Ginger once owned it - but the list is wrong, it's down twice... it even list SpalmH as an owner

I wouldnt mind buying a cat c/d car but to be honest if the guy doesnt list it in the ad, even if he admits it later he has lost some trust in my book and I wouldnt touch it with a barge pole :beat:

Edit: be interesting to see if his other car for sale is also a cat d/c? :poke:

Is this the one they did the work to on that "Wrecks to Riches" program? By the way deano, for it's worth, I still think it'd be worth a look for your mate. If he could knock a few hundred quid off, he's getting a fantastic sports car and a limited edition one at that (if it doesn't have it's Hard Top though, get them to knock a grand off) thumbsup
