Please all note MY HARDTOP IS STILL FOR SALE !!!

It was removed by ebay as the title description included the words 'AS NEW'.

Evidently this is banned as could be used as a 'Keyword Spamming' - WTF ???

I've been threatened to have my account closed if I do the same again !!!

This is all very much over my head...

I will re-list tonight on a seven day sale for those interested.

after original advert was removed by ebay I complained.

today I recd a response from them, and evidently they had no choice once my advert had been reported to them by ebay member

Thats how nearly all warnings are sent out - the site is left to be policed by the members, much like YouTube

The report function is useful as there are plenty of dodgy ads out there from people misrepresenting products, selling fakes, trying to get around eBay fees etc. Keyword spamming is normally when they fill the title box up with names that have nothing to do with what is being sold (e.g. if you put "VX220 Elise MX5 Z4 Cayman" etc. :P)

Having said that, I can't see anything wrong with stating your hard top is 'As New'. It just demonstrates your view of the condition. If you'd said it was ACTUALLY new then I could understand!

Best of luck with the sale anyway.

Wonder how good a silver roof would look with a Coral Blue car...hmmm.... ;)

Mick,

just seen your ad and thought I'd warn you it might get pulled again, since you state that if the buyer uses PayPal they have to pay the fees (technically this is against the site rules :borg: ).

I won't shop you though (I might want to bid anyway, now watching :D )

Mick it will happen again, my original VXT sale was pulled for both reasons above, makes you appreciate how much power they have, cost me £500 IMO. Amend it quick.

Cheeky baztids own paypal. That's why they ban the charging of fees....... They really are a joke and need bringing down to earth. Shame its such a useful odds and sods selling tool. They banned an auction my wife had for a saddle as we mentioned the fact: "Saddle is advertised elsewhere and could be removed from auction at anytime. Once the reserve is met, the saddle will sell to the highest bidder and not outside of ebay....." I mean, FFS............ rant over MOz
