right, as some of you know i was going to try this today and i did promise to take pics to see how i did it. so i have done that aswell..

just an overview.. you really need a heatgun if your going to attempt this.. i broke the drivers side rear glass coz i didnt use one. so please.. use a heat gun.. other than that.. everything went perfect.

Ok here we go

Just standard sat on the drive.

Just an example of the shite that was in my lights.
Posted Image

Ok, first light is out.
Posted Image

Glass off! This was very scarey!
Posted Image

All masked up.
Posted Image

I wanted the same paint all over so primered it all
Posted Image

Then the matt black
Posted Image

Masking tape removed..
Posted Image

I scratched the black bit on this one, so i just resprayed it black. (you cant even tell now)
Posted Image

sticking back together.
Posted Image

Done.

The rears are still drying in the garage, and will leave them a couple of hours.

Because i didnt have enough grips, the front lights were tacky so i have stuck masking tape on them now holding them in place.

Good Work! You brave brave man :P Maybe you could start up an ebay business doing a similar thing to that bloke with the doorcards? People send you their N/A lights, you send them a set of ones already sprayed black. £££ Edit - You need to change your sig pic now Chris :)

Top effort, looks like another job to add to the to do list. Will the Sikaflex etc bond to surfaces that have paint on them or do you need to get it back to bare plastic?

its just tigerseal / sikaflex or whatever you wanna call it. i wouldnt worry about going back to the plastic.. this stuff will stick to anything! im abit annoyed i broke the rear plastic but ill just have to search ebay for a damaged one and swap it over. there is no way i am starting up a business.. i cant guarentee now smashing them.. i was really having to press really quite hard and i got a massive blister on my hand. The Sealent - £9 Primer - £5 Matt Paint - £2.50 and abit of time. i suggest anyone try it. its not really that difficult.
