At 125 degrees the adhesive become 'stringy', but not quite enough, as below:

So cranked her up that little bit further to around 135/140, et voila:

Lens came straight off - no force required

Even better, the black surround on the lens stayed intact, and the adhesive remained stuck to the light body, so easy to remove - very neat:

No visible deformation to the light at all, and the foam has stayed intact too! - May be best to put some foil over to disperse any direct heat tho

Edit - now we just need someone to test a headlight (to see if the lenses are good for 140 degrees
