Lightning Yellow 99 For Sale

It's currently on less than 34000 miles with service history from a combination of Vauxhall main dealers and Thorney Motorsports.
It’s a 2002 on an 02 plate and comes with a VX02*** reg no.
As with all 2.2 VX220s this car benefits from the sublime chassis borrowed from the Lotus Elise and comes with a drivers airbag, ABS, black soft top and sports seats.
Being a one of only 100 Lightning Yellow special editions produced this car also has the following extras;
Brilliant yellow paint
Colour coded hardtop
Anthracite wheels
Black windscreen surround
Black Leather seats
Side storage pockets
CD player
On top of the above features, the following modifications have been added to this car;
Full Miltek Exhaust including sports cat and precat removal
Remap by Courtney Motorsport (Stage 2 producing ~160bhp and improving drivability by removing flatspot)
Front and rear Turbo lights (black internals instead of silver-looks much better on the yellow car. These are worth well in excess of £1k alone!)
Turbo rear spoiler
Turbo front splitters
Front V has been painted black
Anti-rattle door striker pins
Upgraded wiper relay with variable intermittent speed
Colour coded centre console and door cards (black)
Leather covered dash facia plates
Two extra speakers added in dash vents
Full Carpet set for a bit of extra warmth and sound deadening
All recalls have been carried out (including brake hose) and the most recent was new rear alloy wheels in May.
There are two almost new Bridgestones on the rear (less than 2k miles). Fronts have plenty of tread left.
It has 11 months MOT (middle of August ’08) and 12 months Tax (end of September ’08).
All inspections/test drives are welcome, although please note that proof of fully comprehensive insurance must be shown prior to test drive.
The car belonged to Richiemouse from this forum before me and has been well looked after.
I’m located just North of Edinburgh. Would be happy to meet anyone at Edinburgh airport and take them to view. I had to travel 400 miles to get this car- the drive home was worth it!
Any questions feel free to ask.
Looking for £11,250 o.n.o
Anyway, pictures say a thousand words;
Could someone let me know if the pics work? I cant get access to photobucket at work so have just knicked the links from an old post- hope they work! Cheers.

hi there
i have been looking for a standard VX (due to insurance)
what would be the weighting of the additional bits on this vehicle in insurance terms? any rough ideas?
thanks in advance
I'd suggest going on to Elephants site and putting in your details with a standard car and then ticking the modified box and putting in the mods. I'd wager it wouldn't make that much of a difference as they are not huge power gains.
The only things you'll need to declare are the exhaust and the remap, and maybe the spoilers.
As a guide I'm 26 with 5years NCB, a fault claim this year and no points. Car lives outside in a decent postcode and I pay less than £600 (protected NCB). Insurance is very variable though depending on lots of things.
Give it a go and see

Hi Steven
Just dropped into the forum for the first time in ages, shame you're having to sell little '99. I'd have it back if I had the spare cash
If anyone wants any further info feel free to ask me, I did most of the mods and it looks like Steven has just kept her nice and clean.
This is a good car, whoever buys her next won't regret it.
Thanks for that mate.
You're right, I haven't done any mods to it, just kept it clean and tidy.
I've finally got the garage that I've been after for it but it means that the car has to go. It's one of those where I could just afford to keep it but if anything went wrong I'd have no spare cash
Got a viewing today so hopefully it'll be sold, although I'll be gutted to see it go
