Glad your lovin it, the grin will only get bigger :D

Have a look at these covers

http://cgi.ebay.co.u...1QQcmdZViewItem

Much better than a shower cap and custon cut for the car, mine is garaged when at home but I have used one of these for the last year when ever its at the gf's house, its never rubbed or scratched the car and I'm VERY fussy poof

Definatly reccomended!

I was joking about the bird poop! My terrible dry sense of humour!

Your car looks fab - great with the go-fast red leather seats!

A meet would be good - somewhere half-way perhaps? Perhaps with a few people then we can learn more about out cars.

I must invest in one of these car covers - being the highest town in Sussex, we can get shed loads of snow in the winter. I won't look forward to clearing 6 inches on the stuff off in January.....ummm that will be fun starting up no doubt!

The only plan I have is for a fit young lady in the passenger seat! Would bring speed dating into a whole new dimension.

However, could be more expensive than some mods and more unreliable!

Really glad no nasties, and that your experience was a joyous one. I'm envious that your search is over, and your love affair can begin - but pleased for you :jump:

I check their site every day, and ring them up (as I did today) asking if they are getting any VXs in other than the ones listed on their website as 'coming soon'. Moi? Desperado? Mate, if it's ever sold a VX in the entire history of VXs - I check it :D

But most of all don't boot it the second you drive it off the forecourt, Vx's bite... :o

Take it nice and easy and enjoy!

Hi, welcome and enjoy. I agree totally with the sentiment above but dont worry too much, the cars dont bite any more than any other RWD sports car with no traction control, unless you drive like a bell end. Treaat it with respect and the car will respect you thumbsup

...Just buy a blue/silver/other common colour and get it resprayed! Or a yellow NA and get it supercharged. Which is what I'm wishing I'd done now, much as I love my motah!

Funnily enough, I'm getting that desperate that I was enquiring into respray costs today!! But other than cost, there must be other reasons why more people don't do it?

Yellow or Black - Adrian Blyth has got a grey one coming in shortly, which you may already know. I asked him when I got my one on Monday. I was very happy with the presentation with mine and feel paying to go with a known sports dealer is worth the extra (well so far so good anyway!). At least I've discovered the joys of the fan and getting the engine wet after an inch of rain yesterday. I knew this was the case - best get up 10 minutes earlier in the morning :( Thanks for the tips on shower caps everyone....perhaps I'll move and buy a house with a garage instead! Adam - is the motor ok after you collected it from AB? Not sure why it was in there. S.

I am a little worried now that you are having two recall items done and maybe these should be double-checked for mine also! I did raise recall items as recommended by this post and didn't have anything flagged up by AB.

Your car is the same age as mine, a 54 plate (10/04 to be precise). What's the scoop on the water ingress kit and the hose specifically? I'll have a good nose around if you can recommend key signs to look for. I am probably not as car savy as you and am not going to pretend to be!

Warranty wise I hope all is okay! Seems sound - let's hope we don't need it. We called always go collectively if we get any problems and start banging the drum!

You've just bought a VX220 you will need it, just make sure you take it to TMS not a Vaux main dealer when you do...

Then at least it will be done right and not come out with 8 more faults than it went in with

stephen, there is a vauxhall warranty number that you can ring and give them your reg number and chassis number, they will inform you if any recalls need to be done, i think its in the useful post thread at the top of the general section, let me know if you cant find it buddy thumbsup the water ingress kit is easy to see. open the rear boot lid, if you have a recetangle bit of metal attached to the underneath (basically it covers the spark plug cover when boot lid closed) also, the warranty is an aftermarket one that adrian blyth supply, my previous experiance with these type of warranties are they are not worth the paper they are written on. but hey ho

Cheers Adam, I'll search for that number and then brace myself!

Good news is that I have had the ingress kit done.

Better news is that the car has a Network Q warranty until 10/08 which I am having transferred to myself from the previous owner, all being well; failing that I've got the AB warranty for a year. Mr Simba has made a comment about VX warranties - so it may be pants afterall!

Drove it to work today - funny to watch middle-age women trying to get in it! I didn't particularly want to see where the sun don't shine!
