P1171 - Fuel Supply System Lean During Power Enrichment

Any ideas what this fault code actually means?

I've also got P0170 (Fuel Trim Malfunction) and have no idea what it means.

I'm sure one or both of these is causing the misfire I'm experiencing but have no idea where to start.

And please someone tell me why my fan won't go off. It's driving me nuts!! :(

It was doing that when I saw you at Bedford back in Feb/March. You not sorted it yet?! :D

While you're at it, what's P0141 Heater Circuit all about? Mine's doing that.

edit: Nice avatar. See what I did there?
edit edit: Sorry, back on topic now

P0141 Means your second lambda sensor (post cat) or the wiring that connects it to the ECU is broken .

ben, fan = limp mode.

I will check the TIS for you and let you know.

Tis says there is a problem with your fuel pump. There are 26 possible reasons for this. You will have to do some testing to narrow it down. Start by removing the K18 relay (the ECU relay) and measuring the voltage between the brown socket connector and ground. The result should be greater than 11v. Let me know how you get on and I will give you the next test.

:o We could be here some time!!
Should have some time to have a look at the weekend. Thanks for your offer. I have TIS somewhere round here but don't know where to start looking for it!

By the way, I've been told it's on limp home mode before but never worked out what that actually means or how to work out what caused it.

I think it was Bedford that started it to be honest! One of those problems that only came up every now and then so I ignored it but now it's constant.
