yep - click on 'My Controls' in the top menue, then on 'Edit Avatar Settings'. Then, you can choose wether a 'Pre-installed avatar' or 'your image avatar' (your own avatar), there you can even choose if you want to upload your avatar (if it is only available on your Harddisk) or you type the url (in case that the avatar ist somewhere online) - but just make shure that the image is in the range "Maximum Width = 64 pixels Maximum Height = 64 pixels)" hope that helps ? :D

Does anyone know why may avatar goes out of focus when the image is reduced to 64 by 64 pixels?

Its being altered in size, therefore pixellates when displayed. What you need to do is get the image you want, and define the size manually when you upload it - unless the actual image size is in fact 64x64 then it will get stretched/shrunk to size. For your Avatar, it looks like it should be shorter in height, so find out the correct size and enter the info in the Avatar settings. My Avatar, for example, is 64x50.
