Hello Muncher,

these parts look really good!!

I was currently looking at those from eliseparts to upgrade my N/A this winter after I have fitted semi-slicks and lower/stiffer springs. But these looks far better to me.

Could you please give some more infos about the company where you bought them? Do you think there is a possibility for me in Switzerland to get them? Anyway, if you are about to make a group order, I would be definitely in!

Thanks for the infos...

Cheers
- Hamlet

Hamlet, they're a small engineering company who have produced a number of Elise based parts, the owner has an Elise. They contacted me via SELOC when I was looking for someone to machine my hub carriers, which they did. There's no info about them on the web as they only really do the design then use other tooling companies to produce the components. I'm sure shipping to Switzerland would not be a problem.

Thanks a lot for your quick answer! :)

Would you have the coordinates of this company or should I try to contact them also via SELOC?

Is this supposed to be a VX specific kit ?
Because I still don't see the same missing part as in the Eliseparts kit (VX and federal Elise specific)

I'm speaking of this :

alanoo - It will be a specific VX kit, I fitted one arm today and have suggested a couple of improvements specific to the VX, which they're happy to carry out. One of the points is the addition of those washers you've posted above. There will be a specific NA and VXT kit. I'm the guinea pig with this and the guy from SpitFire has said he won't let the kit go out 99% right, it has to be 100% right.

actually I had the same question than alanoo, but it is now answered. :P

This sounds really good and I like this kit more and more. Please let me know how to contact this company or if you set up a group order.

No idea, probably not. They've said we can do one group buy before they go out to dealers and then it will be up to the dealers how they want to price it.

Hi Muncher :) Could you add my name to the list for a group buy? as everyone else has said they do look the dogs!! B) one question  The rose joints, do they require covers as per eliseparts? or are they all integral? ,they do look alot beefy-er than the eliseparts ones though!! cheers chinky chinky Tim

The kit comes with the dust cover boots, it's strange that the EliseParts kit comes without them yet the warranty on the joints is voided unless you have them!

Somthing has just occured to me, the std. tie rods have flats on them so the toe can be adjusted on the car with a spanner, yet these don't seem to have anything for this, or am i missing somthing?

The bar is sufficiently chunky that you can hold onto it to turn it, it has engraved grips on it to help. When the locknuts at either end are loosened the bar should rotate pretty easily. It's something I'll put to them though and see what they say.

My thought is thats fine for inital set up, but when they've been on a while and rusted it could get a stiff

Muncher - Top work - I'm up for these too thumbsup (lardy tubby - but an early lardy tubby so hopefully OK?? ) Agree with Winstar - knurled grip will be OK for initial setup, but for later adjustment it's got to be a LOT easier to have flats on them somewhere that you can get a nice sizeable wrench onto

first off you need to ensure that your VXT takes the M10 outboard joints..... as they were changed to M12 about 1/2 - 3/4 the way through vxt production.

Muncher, if this is an on-going development with Spitfire, how about going the whole hog and asking if they could develop the rear brace between tie rods, like the one that is avaliable for the Exige :)

I'll ask them, not sure what the demand would be like for them as they'd be more expensive.

The design is being finalised today, I just need to climb on the garage roof to take some photos of my old rear subframe :P

I'll defo be interested in getting a set. My car is squeaking like a good 'un. Even though I have fully coated the bush in a layer of white lithium anout 20mm thick Though cold weather is helping slightly but I need to bite the bullet and replace them.
