Thanks sam, the pics are great!

The path the bar will take is actually lower than the string, and further back. Off the top of my head I think about 10-15mm lower than the string and the same again further away from the subframe. Should give at least 35mm clearance from the centre of the bar.

Sam can you take a close up of the outer mount please?
why is the bolt so low?
are there washers under the head???

:)

there's one washer under the nut & the rest (spacers) are "stored" under the head, as I've found that the offset from the rod ball center to the upright is closest to the standard value with no spacer added. But if you have calculated that the "stock" geometry corresponds to X spacers added, I'm interested in knowing how many spacers I should put.
Anyway I will test different settings, to see how different it feels

The reason for the spacers is that no two cars are the same and it also depends what ride height you have set. It will not do any harm but not good practice to extend the active bolt length by using it as a washer store! dont you have a garage? :)

:)

I've come up with an idea to make the position of the brace bracket adjustable which gives it a lot of room for manouvere up and down :) It may mean the existing tie rod brackets sent out will need a hole drilled in them but that's no real hardship given you need to drill the bolt hole anyway.

mine are fitted to my tubby with miltek, i did take loads of pics but by phone is fooked! (flipping touch screen). if i can find someones phone that my data card will fit into then i will post the pcs up if they are needed? I think there is less space to drill for the n/s bracket due to the cat being lower on the vxt, i could only drill at an angle which made it a nightmare to drill accurate holes!

It's the same on the NA, I jacked the cat section up a bit which gave enough clearance.

Morning! - What I've heard (third hand - but via Spitfire & Steve G so....) apparently the (American) suppliers of the rose joints have discovered a fault with our batch :( Replacements are supposed to be on the way, but don't know the eta yet

Yes, is a bit of an unforeseen bugger, will let you know exactly when the replacements are here or with SpitFire.

Thanks Paul thumbsup - understand it's not your fault at all, completely out of your hands (and Spitfire's) :( . Just one of those things sadly.

Spitfire will be here to explain shortly but replacement joints have already been sent from the US and should be here early this week.
