The Americans who do the bars were in thanksgiving mode so we couldn't get an update from them last time we tried at the weekend. The brace brackets are waiting to be made at the moment, so no leadtime as such but we're talking weeks rather than months. It's frustrating not being able to give a fixed timescale but different components are coming from different people which makes giving a fixed date difficult.

Thanks for this. I am very impatient to fit my brand new shocks and I would like to avoid having to get my geometry set twice.

I'll wait for the moment :tumble: ... If I have the patience!!!

Hi Muncher

So can we deduce from this that it "might" be after christmas???
Not the best time of year for me!!

IF it is going to be next year, then I'm up for a set.

Thanks

i'm interested in this kit, but I think this would be deemed to be a suspension mod if using the brace bar - obviously you would tell the insurance co, but is this going to wildly increase my premium??? any thoughts? :)

I really wouldn't both with that, all you're doing is strengthening an existing component, you're not altering the risk in the slightest.

I've been told the sample bits for my car will be here certainly before christmas (all apart from one thing by middle of next week), the rest of the bits a week and a half after.

Will you be able to test the brace on a Milltek equipped car? I really want it to fit :)

Yeah, will test it on Joe-Turbo's car hopefully :) The bracket has been designed so that the bar position can be raised/lower by 1-2 inches through the use of collets anyway :)

First few tie rod only kits available in a week and a half :) If those who are down for the tie rod only kit can send me a cheque and tell me their car (NA or VXT) and if it is a VXT can tell me whether their hub carrier uses a M12 or M10 outbound bolt for the hub carrier then I can make sure you get the right bits. If it's M12 it will have a nut the same size as the ball joints and means you get a different sized bolt and inserts into the tapered carrier hole. In theory it is a week and a half after, assuming it fits perfectly and it can't be improved any further. The tie rod brackets have been amended 3 times just for little things to give extra strength and ease of install etc. Two of the mounting holes are being moved a matter of millimeters just to seat them on a folder section of subframe which is about 1mm thicker so even more strength. New collets have been made which can be seen beloe to seat the rose joints properly on the subframe face. The hole in the bracket for the brace bar mounting has been shifted slightly so that it can be drilled more easily as there is an existing hole on the subframe there. Even the dust covers are not made from rubber, they're made from some type of neoprene I think to make them more durable. None of the components will ever require replacement or lubrication.
