Hi, Im in the market for a VXT. I m just back from seeing one down in london. Its on the autotrader just now at £17000. Reg is CW54 BBV. It seemed clean enough but had a strange squealling/rattling noise under load, almost like a belt slipping. I found this strange after it just been through a service in a vauxhaul dealer. To top it off the guy hit the kerb and scrapped the passenger side alloys. I have walked away from it at the moment until i get a report on the noise etc. After he hit the kerb the Engine management light was on aswell. I just wondered if anyone on here had owned the car or had viewed themselves and had any info on it cheers

Largely depends on which Vauxhall dealer! Suggest you keep looking, have you seens Pistonheads classifieds, or put a wanted advert on the forum here?

Yes a little over priced depending on the mileage and the noise you describe sounds like the engine mounts.

Yep they steam up if you're unlucky and the front ones too! I haven't done this yet but you need to stick them in the oven to make them come apart, go looking for details on the forum before you do this!!! then re-seal them. You can buy a hardtop later for around £600 although they're trickier to get in black. Cheers, Tim

Hi this was my car !!! i traded it in (unfortunatly new house forced sale) it was in good nick two months ago when I left it in Workington so its gone quite a journey to London. I traded it in for 14300 with the hardtop which I thought was a great deal as I paid 14500 a year n half earlier!! so overpriced a bit you could say ;) anyway any questions just ask. I do miss you guys lol :gayfight:
