I like that approach - top stuff! Could we do something similar here? Build up a register of all known VXs in the country. Would be good to develop a map showing geographic spread of VXs.

Funny thing, this tread made up some confusions in the german forum, the guy changed your chassis numbers with the Speedster number on the plate on the dash :D Numbers in the myspeedster list are also plate numbers ! Greets Stephan

Problem is that many Speedster owners think the "Speedster" number displayed on the dash is the build number and this is not the case.

But then, perhaps they forget that there is a Vauxhall contingent being produced on the same line – actually, the way some talk, you would think the car is an Opel built in Rüsselheim...

Hence my signature on the german forum:

Opel??? Vauxhall??? Built in England by Lotus"

;)

..yes, so if we really want to know how many are built, we should regard the chassis numbers of Speedsters & VX's. Diffiult job to get all the numbers...

Rob, it's the last 4 digits of the VIN. Easiest is the dash or the inside of the Door frame by the door Pin.

Hi Calypso _VXT or @ll Have you such numbers (look at the picture!) in your VX220 or not? I call it "Dashnumber" - all german Speedster has it in their dash! (Is ist the right name for it?) Thanks for an answer rob :sleepy:
