Notably, both 28U and 2HU are referred to as 'Black Sapphire Effect' on DuPont. I also linked to the B93 Lotus 'Starlight Black' colour.
Finally, these hyperlinks to DuPont are as correct as I could make them. There are a LOT of paint code variations and alternatives on some VX colours, e.g. black, so clearly it is up to owners to double- and triple-check for themselves before actually ordering paint.
Note the graphic table at the bottom of the page was taken from a post submitted by The Insider, who apparently has some interesting sources of VX-related information.

According to THIS gallery, it's the same as Titan Gold!what does capri yellow look like?
Titan Gold / Capri Yellow - Pearlescent - Paintcode: 4GU
Edit: DuPont mentions "GIALLO CAPRI/TITAN GOLD EFFECT" - giallo being Italian for yellow.

I had the very same problem with my VXT. It is an early 2003 model with 28U written on the door and of course it couldnt be found. So it was matched by eye and it was not 100% a match. So will have to respray it again after this summers stone chips have left their mark..!!
Hmmmm yeah just what i dont want to do!
Planning to get it covered with ventureshield when done . . first time i've ever heard of not being able match paint on a modern car!

There are several different 28U's........the only way to tell which is on your car is to get the bodyshop to take the time to use some paint cards and do a match before painting. My bodyshop has done a fair few now and has at least three different 28U cards. Sometimes the problem is that the bodyshop just reads the codes and paints without taking the time to do that :-(
Thanks for all the advice . . . Car is now painted & a perfect match - surprising thing is that its actually Vauxhall Midnight Black we've been all over the car and there's no evidence of respray so i wonder what happened the day mine was built??
Big to Craig at Griffin Autos in Ampthill bedfordshire - cant reccomemend them enough for anyone nearby, done an awesome job on the paint & done the cambelt too. If anyone wants a reference of their work then you can happily inspect mine
Booked in for ventureshield next week so it stays looking good
