I wish I knew more about engines :(


You and me both, Rob. Theoretically I know how an engine works and what do does what but practically......Hmmm, not so sure now.

I've got an ever increasing pile of goodies building up here. Just haven't got a clue about how to fit them and terrified that if I did, there'd be an almighty crunch the first time I tried to turn over the engine. Followed by lots of smoke. :unsure: :blush:

Matt, dont worry....... you wont get smoke on the first turn over of the engine :poke: And hopefully I will edjumakate you a bit tomorrow.

Alanooooo, sod off lol, it was my cheap ebay find. Unless you can get a 4.41 FD :D

so the valves will be common sized across the heads, but the FI exhaust valves will be sodium filled.


Maybe not known to everybody, but some good information on differences between the L61, LE5, LSj and LNF engines can be found in the Ecotec build book Appendix.
