Sorry mate that looks a bit if'y
the stitching looks a bit on the heavy side
maybe it will look better in the car
where you can't see all of it at once

TBH it was a concern of mine if the Alcantara would mark with the drivers seat going forward/backward everytime you get in/out, but the console in my VX has already been repainted once and was getting scratched again, so I thought I would get it done at the same time as the cards and dash.

TBH it does look a little crappy on the photo, looks almost 'Wavy' yet it's dead straight in the flesh so to speak.

The tan stitching was done to match the tan leather, and the size of stitch-to match to match those on the cloth seat bolsters.

I'm just having a couple of my Ferrari Dino's re-trimmed at the moment by a retired ex Bentley trimmer, but I must say your mate's done a great job. I especially like the doors!

Thank you for all the comments.. Ive fitted it all in the car now complete with carbon fibre bits... B) I had to trim carbon fibre panels a little... the bit which goes up into the handle bit (the bit you put your hand to pull the door closed..) I have to say im well pleased with the look... very classey B) i'll post pics in the morn.. In total it cost roughly £300 for alcantara of which i have loads left... (got 2 metres of each) then it cost £550 to have everything made, seats, door cards (inc new leather , for seats/and the little bit on the door card) Jay of here was going to have the fabric bits from the side of my o.e trim as his are wearing on the turbo he has.. but talking to Brian today its just a standard type material and should be easy enough to get hold of... by the time he would have unpicked my old trim it wouldn't be cost effective.. Heres some pics.. not the best im afraid, i took with camera phone.. will get some better ones in day light...

Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

I had to modify carbon door card a touch... the bit that goes up and behind the door handle...simply because it wouldnt lie flat, so kept coming unstuck.. sorted now though!

Posted Image

Posted Image

For the triangular bit on the door card i bought new trim buttons... it holds much better now.. the ones on the door card were ok so reused...

Looking at these pics now.. im going to defo get the carbon gear lever / handbrake surround... it will look perfect and contrast well with the rest of the interior... i will leave the alloy gear lever surround silver for now..

Cheers

Just to clear something up regarding carbon fibre door card.. I had to modify it simply because i have had the outer part of the door card trimmed with alcantara, this is unbacked material, but is still roughly 3 / 4mm thick... so with this extra thickness the card wouldnt lie flat on the alcantara.. Now ive trimmed it (you should be able to tell what ive taken off from the above pic) it sits perfect, and the supplied dble sided tape sticks perfectly to the alcantara.. :) Anyone who orders the carbon fibre door panels to replace the o.e items and thats it they will have NO problems with the fit :) If the have the outer door card trimmed they will have to modify slightly.. it took me 2mins with a dremel..
