Thought as much. I have been in trouble with the armes boys before. Nice enough but they don't mess about

Yeah I drove passed him and I saw him clock me so I pulled over as soon as I could
I was out the car before him.
Shame really I was gonna hang it out until dark and get the shots I really wanted
I was just using the daylight to set up my shots
drat and double drat
it's quite a safe place to do those sorts of shots too !!!

Need to find more smooth tarmac near by

great shots...and there I was thinking you had leaned out of the car to get shots....until the last couple...doh! ..are you planning to do some late night stuff with that lot...they would look superb especially as your car would make it more black and white and probably red highlights HH

To be honest the pro's do this on closed roads so what I'm doing is slightly naughty also it's only done at low speed too although you can get good results at speed it's just that the damage factor increases The last shot is the one I was gonna go for and it's a window rig not off the back of the car as shown in the other pics. I reckon I'd be able to get away with it but now the car is know to to those guys if they see me late at night driving round and round I'll get a tug and they will be pissed at me and rightly so. I did some stuff like this awhile back but inside the car as per my avatar but I really want to do the whole car the pro's use a glass arm thats easy to paint out or they take a plate shot of the car with the camera rigged in the same position as it would be on an arm and then photochop the two together. Might pop out sunday night as i'm off Monday I did some moving shots for Fab ages ago late at night but used the wifes care and rigged the camera on the boot 2 cars would be easier but i want to get the tricky shot !!!!

1 second exposure at f22 iso 100
I use a cable release to trigger the camera
but you could buy a remote that will do the same
it's easy really hardest part is fixing the camera to the car and keeping it rigid.
If it starts to bounce the focus goes soft and you loose the effect
It's best done at night when things look nicer

Have a go and see what you get it's not that hard
even a twat like me can do it .......

Go for it it's a very simple trick you just need to make sure the camera is well fixed to the car also if you have friend or an assistant it can be done by simply pushing the car( I haven't got any friends) You just need to stop down so you don't over expose. I used an ND on a few of those shots but mainly because the car is white and burns out your blue car could be easier. Get some magic arms and a mono pole and you can get the camera quite away from the car. Cable release is essential too. Have fun

I have a gopro suction mount just contemplating using that, it's very strong just don't know if i trust it with my SLR! i need to buy a tripod mount attachment for it first then i'll have a go. My brother has a remote (think it's bluetooth?) so shouldn't be too hard.
