If testing goes as planned you can add PaulB's on that with 185 bhp ;)

Nice one CP, this should build into an interesting list. I'm sat in AMD at the moment so should have the remap results soon :P

Excellent start... ...worth adding torque? and revs? Also, as more members results are available you'll find this table too wide, so you may have to swap the table round. What about sorting them into highest BHP at the top perhaps...down to lowest (standard NA results?) at the bottom. cheers

Thanks! Paulb's one would be an excellent column numero uno! Then "dude" will take pole soon enough, I gather. Yea, I'll sort the table. Puzzling also that the standard reports differ so much; some have 146, some 149 and at the AmD RR day several standard VX's recorded 154 bhp!? I suppose that Dyno calibration, air humidity, indiviual car performance etc play part.

Great stuff! It would be great if other NA-modders could add their stats to help me decide what to shell out on in the Spring. Would still be interested in any powertec vs viper stats or other views. cheers

Hi CP,
Mine was just standad with the Induction kit fitted no re-map.

I thought with Cheekys Calc backwards from my "at the wheels" figure he got
171.9 Bhp at the flywheel, might be wrong though  .
Where did you get the figure from?
cheers.

I just saw you increased the output by 12 bhp giving 158-166 bhp based on the different standard outputs, ranging from 146-154 bhp.

Which mods does Cheeky have?

excellent table....... shows what a few good mods can do to an already excellent car, just one small suggestion, should mileages also be posted?? theres obviously a few rumours about the engine "freeing" itself up after 6000 plus miles, perhaps if these were disclosed it could shed some light onto this topic..... .......perhaps even get me making long, unnecessary trips to liberate a few more bhps!!!!

Might be a good idea. May be a factor that can explain some of the differences in standard performance. It would be interesting to have some more exhaust systems and other chips. It is obvious that the "full Milltek" and AmD Stage 1 is a good way to proceed. But are there alternatives? ...and some more serious modded engines of course!

I must say I was already skeptic to all tuning ideas involving reducing the filtration to gain power. Look in the table and it seems that with or without an aftermarket induction system the Milltek system and AmD chip the Ecotec will produce 175 bhp!

Fair doos.

For information if you were going to add milage into the table Mines on ~20,000

It would be nice to confirm all theses figures on the next rolling road day.

Thanks, both, I can add that column! "Vortex", you do not have any inlet or filtration mods? Great in that case, as I want your power figure without the expense of bying an induction system. What does AmD charge for the remap? Is it a stage 1 mod/chip you have?

thanks for incorporating my feedback into your table, its good to see that youll take advice from even a "newbie"...... time to come out of the closet.........(ooer) i have on mine a.......full milltek exhaust system, (pre cat removed, sports cat), AmD remap (dont know if its a stage1???) max power=-170.4 Bhp@5765 rpm max torque=-166.5lbft@4289 rpm mileage 2785 (at test) perhaps there should be the "170+" club??? Imnotworthy Imnotworthy Imnotworthy Imnotworthy Imnotworthy ....all pray together...

Glad to be at service. However the 170+ club idea can wait till I can be a member! :groupjump: ..and then there is the question about accuracy of the RR tests. I saw in the "AmD Magic" thread that they estimate that 24 % is lost in gearbox and tyres! Maybe time for some gearbox tuning?!
