Can't we make the RR somewhere else so we can get independent results from cars that have been tuned by AMD?

Now THATS a good idea! cheers cheers

G-Force for example.

On the other hand - it would be a good chance for us all to see exactly what the AMD kits do and what they offer....180bhp NA Imnotworthy

But Daz, your figures dont add up to it being at the wheels, the torque figure is a bit too low. Horsepower = torque x rpm / 5252. If you do the maths with what you've got you end up with about 120whp which would seem more likely.

Totally agree! DAZ even seem to have less power than the original "Speedster" tested by the german Speedster forum which had 119/151 whp/lbft, probably due to the testing conditions and variation between vehicles.

If I shall go all the way to Great Britain to tune my car , from Sweden I have to know that it is worth the trip. Generally 10-12 % are lost in the transmission but people here quote up to 27 %, giving the a phenomenal crank figure in the calculations. I do not want to spend £700 on a trip and £300 on the remap and find that it was all a hoax.

.. or as Mani put it when someone pointed out that a real effect ca be felt from placebo (tuning) " Clearly placebo tuning doesnt work with everybody!!"

Bit thin on the tuning report front lately. Added Gavs remap to refresh the thread. No RR results yet on Rubbers car?

OK clip you can add me now. :D Pipercross induction (not the viper!) pre cat removed and Vauxhall sports exhaust = 154.1 BHP and 159.3 Ib ft + AMD ECU remap = 171.5 BHP and 169.4 Ib ft Interesting to note thats more than di si with the Milltek and the viper. My crappy pipercross (£80) and great sounding but impotent Vauxhall SE + pre cat removal seems to produce 7 bhp over standard (if you assume standard is what my car was at...who knows?) Anyway I'm happy with that for £80 + £400 + £293 = £773

Yes I will, once I realize what I do wrong. It seems when I place the pics from my company browser they end up in this strange way! Also the window is really WIIIIDEEE when I look at it at my work. Is it the settings on my company computer?

I don't know what the RR readings are on my car, never seen them. Perhaps Thorney would be so kind as to put them up, I would be interested aswell. Ian

Shows that the Milltek route isn't the only one, just as I suspected. Maybe a Vaux SE, no precat and new cams can give 180 BHP?!

Yep That's pretty much it. I believe you can get it in silver or red. It has a Carbon Fibre :D chamber that kind of swirls the air as it passes through..... Sounds good too :D
