When you open the Stack backplate, there is a small sachet with material which should prevent any moisture inside. You can take this out and dry the stuff in an oven on very low setting. (1-2h on 50-60*C should do it)

Maybe it helps.

Thanks, is that the plate that is below the clocks held on with 4 screws? As well as drying out the material as you suggested maybe a sachet or two or silica would help as well?

sorry to go on but reading other posts i am trying to piece things together.......

...also the LED does not work on the console and the hazard work but most of the time no indicator lights come on, also have a bulb on the dash out :o( (i think)

This IS a sachet filled with silica... But you have to remove the dash from the binacle and open the backplate with all the small screws/nuts.

Am still getting the dash problems, all lights fizzling out when i turn the ignition and no dials. Thing is I have notced this only occurs when the cabin is hot or it has been left out in the sun for long periods?! I can make the needles start twitching by turning on the headlights?! Also if i leave the car for 15mins, come back to it, when i turn the ignition the dash works fine but then if i keep flicking it on and off- after about the 3rd attempt the dash will fail. Again this is only when the cabin is hot - when i try this in the cold it works fine   Have tried resetting the ECU and the battery has tested fine? Do you think it could be a lose connection/ bad earth?

All I can think of is to inspect the circuit-board for any loose/burnt components and then check all connectors and wiring. Sometimes stripping it down and rebuilding it cures a dry-connection. If you can dismount it and keep it connected up to the car, then tapping it with the plastic-end of a small screwdriver in various places can sometimes locate a fault... Steve
