NOW SOLD

Up for sale is my much loved Europa Blue 2.2 litre VX220. This car is a 2002 model with 61,000 miles on the clock. I am the fourth owner and have owned this car for the last three and a half years, putting 44,000 miles on the car in that time. This car has the optional leather interior.

Over that time the car has proved extremely reliable - which as it is my daily driver, used in all weathers, it had to be. The car has been parked outside during my ownership - which means there are no water ingress problems or similar - this car just works, come rain, shine, snow, hail, you name it!

The car has had the following modifications done:

* Vauxhall Sports Exhaust (the much-desired 'VSE')
* Pipercross Viper Induction Kit
* Regal Autosport Remap (much improved drivability)
* Rear 30% tinted window (a must to avoid being blinded by 4x4 drivers!)

Standard exhaust and airbox will be provided.

In addition, it has had the following improvements made to standard-fit equipment:

* Anti-rattle door pins
* VW intermittent wiper relay
* Mintex front discs
* Mintex 1144 front and rear brake pads
* Colour-coded dash panels
* Colour-coded handle guards
* Alcantara door panels
* VX220 engine badge
* PPI component speakers
* BEAT MP3 CD/USB/SD headunit
* MOMO leather & aluminium gear knob
* Carbon fibre gear shaft cover
* Carbon fibre VX220 sill panels
* Eliseparts uprated handbrake cable
* Powerflex rear wishbone bushes
* Plans geometry setup

Plus probably more than I've forgotten.

The car also has a full Vauxhall service history, for a total of seven services. The next service is not due until July 2009 or 70,000 miles, whichever comes first. The MOT is valid until March 2009, and the car currently has over 6 months of tax remaining. The car is also HPI clear.

The car also had a brand new rear clam in June, following a very low-speed parking shunt. This shunt caused no other damage and could have been repaired, but the insurance assessor recommended a new clam. (Photos of the damage prior to the new clam can be e-mailed on request). The replacement clam was fitted and painted by Picador Vauxhall in Sholing, who are one of only a handful of Vauxhall dealers recommended on the vx220.org.uk forum. I also paid for a full respray of the front clam out of my own pocket. This means that the paintwork on both clams is in superb condition.

The car has the following bad points:

* Wear to right drivers-side seat bolster - this is a very common issue.
* Damage to interior plastic trim on drivers side where you get in - again, very common.
* Scratches on passenger-side wing mirror.
* Minor paint blistering at very front edge of passenger-side sill.
* Minor chipping to trailing edge of drivers-side door.
* Very minor marking on passenger-side seat.
* Kerbing on front left alloy

I have tried to be honest about the state of the car - these issues are noticeable but are not serious. Due to the new paintwork on the front and rear this car is generally in a superb condition. I am only selling this as I've already bought another VX220!

Please don't hesitate to ask any questions, no matter how minor. However, please don't waste my time. Test drive requires proof of fully-comprehensive insurance. I am also aware of the various scams around, so find an easier target (or ideally get an honest job!)
