Aye, I’m working away. The place is dead quite which is great, just trying to find a job for FY2 looking for perhaps Critical care, or surgery. Just using the NHS website which is the worst system ever designed. You sound like you had a nice night though?

Singles! Where are all the women?! I just went to a wedding and I've always thought a wedding was the bride's day more than the groom's so would be full of her single girlfriends. Isn't it where us single blokes meet our future wives? But there were 90% blokes at the wedding. And all the women bar 3 (I counted) were taken! 1 was the grandma of the bride, 1 was the groom's younger sister and 1 was the bride's friend. There were so many men compared to women that either men got totally hammered on the free bar playing I Am Spartacus with vodka and Jaeger bombs, had their wives for company or spent the night doing the single man two step with other single men on the dancefloor!

One of my friends tore his trousers doing a John Travolta slide impression on the dancefloor when under the influence of copious amounts of vodka. His trousers started falling off him and while he lay on his back, which he shortly after the JT impression fell on, the bride's mum - yes, Mum - tore off his trousers and ran around the dance floor twirling them above her head! Then later on and redressed but with a bit of cheek showing he tried it on with the grandma and she said "you wouldn't keep up with me dear, I've got a new hip!" Oh please!!!

The younger sister was out of bounds for me because I've known her since dot and she's my best mates little sister who would never enter my head in that way and the other girl I didn't know was there until this morning as a mate staying in the same hotel as me sat gloating in the breakfast lounge about last night's triumph...grrrr!

So, me and Peroni, my curvy, bubbly Italian had a lovely time...I fear she might have cast a spell on a few of my mates though last night.

Im off to a wedding on Friday. I think it'll be a similar affair - all the women invited are taken so it'll be full of single men. Im considering not going. Its my best mates wedding like so im sure he knows me well enough to understand.

 Whenever I go to an event these days, there aren't any single people at all - or if there are, it's women. I tend to get on better with guys than girls, which causes problems because if you even start an animated conversation with a taken guy, the girlfriend/wife clamps themselves to his side and wraps their arms round him like tentacles  So now I just avoid any of that, and make polite, dull conversation with the females about Sex and The City and Desperate Housewives (can't stand either) :sleepy:

We've gotta swap social events then! You can go hang out with my single bloke mates with their sports cars and anything car related chats and I'll do chitta chatta with your SATC girlfriends! There was one girl on the table next to me that we all thought was single. I got chatting with her without being anything other than pleasant, not flirty etc, and early on she got in the mandatory taken woman's "we" when discussing something she'd done with her other half. Realising she was taken, I kept chatting to her but didn't let my mates know. A few of them are like flies on proverbial with women they think are single, especially during barren times like the wedding, and sure enough this woman couldn't wait to get off the table she'd been assigned to for the meal as the guys either side of her vied for her attention! Desperate times, desperate measures!! I felt a bit sorry for her actually.
