PMs sent ref. flowers for Chris' brother's girlfriend.

To summarise:

These will be sent to Chris' family, with the message:
'In memory of chris_vx220turbo - we mourn the loss of one of our own.

Your fellow VX'ers at VX220.org.uk x'

These will be sent to Chris' brother's girlfriend, with a vase (preferably to the hospital; if not to home). The suggested message is (once I have her name, I will put it at the top):

'All of us at VX220.org.uk are thinking of you, and wishing you a fast recovery.

x'

Once I have contact details I will let you know, and I will post up receipts for both.

Please shout if I have forgotten anything...I can't log on to the site at work (only read it) so there will be radio silence during the day :)

Edit: thank you guys here and via PM who have so thoughtfully offered to cover the cost of PayPal fees. I will see what happens...

Zoe has very kindly gotten in touch, and the flowers in memory of Chris will be sent care of his sister. I have the address now. His brother's girlfriend is called Rachel, and Zoe is getting further details about where in the hospital she is. Once I have this information, I will ring them to check they receive flowers. If not, Zoe has said it would be ok to send them care of Chris' sister as well. Zoe is also finding out from his family details of a charity, but she mentioned that understandably it is difficult to get hold of his family at this time. More tonight... :grouphug:

Hi guys,

The flowers have been ordered, and will be delivered on 7th August - both to Chris' sister.

Please find receipts for both here. For some reason, the total doesn't show correctly on the Flowers Direct website, but you can see that the correct amount has gone out of my PayPal account.

Please don't worry if you were not able to donate to the flowers, since there is no distinction between those who did and those of you who will be donating on the Just Giving page once set up. The flowers, and the messages on the cards accompanying them, are from all of us.

I heard from Zoe again - she is still awaiting a charity to be nominated by Chris' sister. I can assure you that as soon as I hear, I will set the page up and let you know so that we can all pay our respects.

Hx
