Is it easier/better to remove the pas seat??? or is this a job in itself!

Just removed my interior to give it a good clean, what a pain in the ass the pas seat is to remove, just 1 fixing :angry2:

There are 4 fixings but I only had an issue with 1, as though you are sat in the seat, the front left. It is tucked under the solid part of the seat and you can only turn the allen key a little at a time, and it is difficult to get the allen key into the screw. I suggest (though someone may have a better idea) just loosening the fixing and then using long nosed pliers to turn it the rest of the way? chinky chinky

Maybe I'm missing the point, but when do you watch the Dvd's ?

Old folk out in force again ;)

Joking aside Pablo (previous owner) had fitted an uber expensive Sony DVD system to the car when i bought it. Was great fun showing it off to people as it came out the dash but other than that was completely pointless. After the 3rd day of having the car I just drove everywhere with the screen retracted.

Made me a nice chunk of cash when i sold it on ebay thumbsup chinky chinky

With a DVD screen, you could install a reversing camera (hiding it in the black lettering of the rear number plate). The only really practical reason for having a screen.

[I thihnk people are missing the point!

It's not practical!...why do things in life have to be, would be a very boring place!

It's gloriously impracticle and pointless.....looks bloody good though! :D

Especially when I finish the small looped animation / 3D gfx to stick in there when one is desiring to show owf!!! :D

Managed to get the pas side speaker out to replace with the new Alpine! I use one of those very small fat/rubber handled screw drivers, cost about £2. Worked very well although I learnt that you really need to place a flat headed screw driver behind the screw head as you unscrew to lever it out, otherwise it seems to just turn in the clip.

Results, crisp, loud and clear sound, no distortions at good volume levels! Fantastic, very pleased for £39!

Also here's a pic of the head unit, already been showing off to mates, DVD of some of my racing! :D
