Thought I'd annouce this here. We've confirmed our entry into the Britcar 24 hour race in a 2.2 engined VX220. Been in development for some time, we have built the car from scratch purely for this event. Since our exclusion from the Elise Trophy we've been wanting somewhere to race VX220's and we've developed the car for endurance racing. In short: 1. 2.2 NA, TMS headwork, Schrick cams and top end 2. TMS/Webcon throttle body conversion 3. TMS tubular manifold 4. KW three way race suspension 5. TMS full aero pack 6. TMS coupe boot conversion 7. TMS Pro Race 1.2 wheels 8. Carbon/kevlar seat 9. TMS/AP Racing front 4 pot brakes, rear AP calipers on TMS disks 10. GT uprights on Lotus 4 bolt hubs 11. Milltek straight through race exhaust 12. TMS 100 litre fuel FIA fuel cell Should be about 200bhp at the flywheel and about 780kg's. Whats also interesting is that we will have cameras in the car where you'll be able to watch the race live either on big screens in the pits, via your iPhone, iTouch at Silverstone or via the web on our and some of our partners websites, all streamed, we iwll put a link on the VX220 site as well. No pictures as yet as we're keeping it under wraps until the event but it hopefully will make a few people smile. As with all 24 hour events we could do with a few helpers, no idea what we need as yet but let me know if you are willing to help and lend a hand in setting up and during the race. We'll sort out some discounted tickets and if people are keen we can arrange for some club car parking as well.
