They kept calling it a vx220 turbo and that it had problems with the turbo
Even on the above list they seem to have put vx220t
the problem with the turbo was that lotus forgot to fit one.
Well done to everyone involved

Just got back. Great race after a truly terrible start. We had a major gearbox issue which meant we qualified using only 4th gear and one flying lap per driver during which we lost our carbon coupe roof
Barney and Andy Holland worked till 6:30am Friday night fabricating a new roof. New rear calipers went on the car Saturday morning to try to cure the brake problems, it didn't.
Race started (or not as the Mosler/TVR/Ginetta carnage caused a 1 hour safety car period, during which time Doug came in for a [Censored] -break Throughout the race were plagued by lethal brakes that simply refused to work properly but that's racing so you just have to work with what you have. Doug completed his first 2:30hr stint and I was up next, driving into dusk till around 10pm to be greeted by a [Censored] ed Walshy and Kell trying to tempt me onto the beer. Overnight pace was around 2:20 with a best of 2:17 so pretty pleased and moved slowly up the order during the night when we had a misfire problem to add to the list of woes. I had a dawn stint starting at 6:30 by which time the misfire was cured and as the sun came up our pace was around 2:16 with a best of 2:14, I had to come after I lost all but 4th gear - the gearlinkage cables had melted. At the 10:15 hand-over to Chris we were up to 31st and running pretty smoothly for the first 2hrs of his 3hr stint at a similar pace. The world fell apart at around midday when with a handful of hours to go the flywheel bolts sheared off the crank, the car was recovered and spent 2:45mins getting the old studs out, new clutch and driveshafts in for Chris to run till just after 3pm. With 90mins left Thorney took the car and immediately lost all the gears accept 4th so he trundling round at 2:25 pace using just 1 gear. Finishing was amazing, the team run by Craig worked really well and it's pretty impressive to see a virgin team, virgin mechs and 3 virgin drivers complete the 24hrs. It's pretty emotional and I'm now knackered so off to bed.

I have done a search... couldn´t find the answer.... why did you have taken the N/A ? And is there any table where one could see the hp of the other competitives?
BTW only 200 "official" hp with the fine items listed in the beginning? Is there any limitation given through the rules of the britcar-classifications?
Kind regards

I was one of the drivers of the VX 220 and have to say a huge thanks to everyone at Thorney Motorsport to say the guy's worked hard is an understatement and I can't thank them enough for getting us to the finish.I've driven and raced lot's of fast cars and sports prototypes and the VX is one of the best handling cars ive ever driven, loads of grip with no under or oversteer and easy to drive at a consistent pace, having done two three hour stints and getting out of the car still in good shape go's to show how easy the car is to drive.I'm sure if the car had another 50bhp it could have been well inside the top twenty. So many thanks to all the Thorney Guy's and Girl's for giving me one of the best weekends of my life.
Chris Setters.
A big thank you back from all the Team to the drivers Chris, Doug, Martin and John for getting our little VX through the 24 hours. It was a pleasure working for you all. As I said the memory will live with me forever, it still brings a little tear to my eye when I think back as to what we have all acheived. We have not stopped talking about it since. Nick is getting a VX220 tattoo on his chest Oh and thanks to your Dad for one of the funiest moments I have ever witnessed in Motor sport

I think that might have something to do with the fact that he stopped racing come into the pit's and got out the car for a pi55 on lap 2 you have never seen so many people panicking and wondering whats going on as he calmly walks through the pits to the loo
