I'll take some pics of the flocking. The Flocking company repaired the crack, reinforced it, sanded it down and then flocked over the top so it looked as good as new. Well better and cheaper!

When I did some research into coverings I found these were good for ideas..

I do agree - I never got/get the more carpets/leather/alcantara/other coverings the better stance, since - as you say - it's a complete juxtapose to what the VX is all about. Like trying to turn a tin-opener into a three piece suite. I'd up the alu count significantly if I could find someone to make the bits... But, each to their own :)

I mean i dont mind people getting the dash flocked or a nice retrim but you have to leave elements like the alu in place. The sill plates would look good in alu or even carbon fiber B)

There are carbon fibre sill plates - and some OE Turbo metal (not sure if alu) ones. The former are on ebay; some of the latter were on recently too - hard to come by.

Don't get me wrong, I also like the alu and don't intend to cover a square inch of it thumbsup. The painted silver plastics are cack though (in my 7+ yr old anyway) and the sill plate is merely OK. I will sort all the plastics one way or another as time progresses.

I'm wondering whether a silver/grey/black version of this vinylkote stuff may well be a good solution to the plastics and not add too much weight to the car either ... (Say I, going OT on my own thread  )
