These stories are coming across far too often with this bad weather, kinda glad my car is 20ft up in the air in the repair garage still.

Hope no one is injured... the problem is people generally buy these cars when the weather is fine and learn the cars dry limits where you can do some really daft things and get away with it. Its a totally different ball game in the wet when a lot of new drivers need to learn that the wheel needs to be straight before you get on the power in anger.

The above is not aimed at this accident in particular but it seems to be the same coming up to winter every year.

it's easy to get it wrong if you're used to sumer driving i nearly got caught out earlier on on my way home from work, wasn't a back end problem as i'd like to hope i know better than to plant the throttle in the wet mine was the brakes in the wet were stone cold and had no bite (add in sh*t abs and i came quite close to a z3m's rear end)

Not P11COV I hope ?

Not me personaly but was my car. The wife was returning from work, lost it at about 40mph coming off the roundabout spun onto grass and hit lampost side on (drivers door) and ended up smacking the passenger side in a tree.

Shes a little bruised, cut from smashed glass and shaken but ok. The cars a write off, drivers door gone, both rear wheels at strange angles and rear calm all over the shop.

will post a piccy soon.

No other cars involved. Must be case of spilt diesel!! ( just kidding!)

Actually a case of Toyo 888's, wet road maybe a lack of experience.

I think this will probably bring my VX220 days to a natural end. Time to move on I feel.

Oh.... and the lampost is rather poorly.

P.S who was the prat who stopped on the the other side of the dual carridge way to take a picture on his phone but didn't come to help!!! :beat:

P.P.S Anyone know of a good cheap shed for sell...tomorrow!!!

Sorry to hear above this. Usual words, I suppose....... it's only a car and all that...... but seriously, I hope your wife is OK and her pride isn't too badly dented! Probably wake up with a few aches and pains but the main thing is she is around to tell the tale..... :grouphug: to you both.... thumbsup
