:o another one!?

why are there so many crashes at the moment! :(

hope all involved are ok

Hope no one is injured... the problem is people generally buy these cars when the weather is fine and learn the cars dry limits where you can do some really daft things and get away with it. Its a totally different ball game in the wet when a lot of new drivers need to learn that the wheel needs to be straight before you get on the power in anger.

The above is not aimed at this accident in particular but it seems to be the same coming up to winter every year.

Had it for 4 years mate...20 odd track days and no crashes (not in this one anyhow!)

Sorry to read this Paul. Glad to hear your wife is okay, if a bit shaken up. Hopefully she wont dwell on it for too long. Saw her driving it the other week in MK, felt a bit of prat pulling up beside her in my VX whilst she looked to be queueing to get into the shopping centre and hooting, only to see it wasn't you driving. Might well be time for me to swap my wheels and tyres back to the winter setup if this weather continues, me thinks. Hope the insurance company give you a decent settlement and don't unnecessarily drag the whole process out.

Sorry to read this Paul, & read of the end of your VX days, my first VX meet was Nomties 2 & I've got a picture somewhere of the original P11COV with my old LY one side & Paul CP's the other, I was going to post it up as I approach 5 years as a site member.

Glad to hear your wife is OK. I saw the crash at 6.40 ish and atually turned round and back to the crash site with the intention of stoping to see if I could help, but when I got back to the location there was already another car stopped on the grass and lots of people rubbernecking, so thought it best not to. And yes the lamp post did look the worse for wear but not as bad as the VX  BTW that section of road does quiet often have diesel on it as its just past the filling station. I had a brown pants moment there last year and now drive very carfully round that roundabout. Mike

Jeez that does look bad. Not much chance of that being repaired.
