i would never whore my personal - never mind my love - life for work, but that's just me. you can paint it any way you like and pretend that that was never your intention - fact remains it's there and 90% of people who look at it are gonna shower it, you, your friends, your wife, like we did, with ridicule. still, at least you have work to keep you busy and stop you from dwelling on it.

how do you know this fact skiddo? just because a few people in this forum here made "ridicule" comments as you say, you think thats the be all and end all ?? A lot of people only post in forums if they dont like the thing in discussion or agree with posted topic, you dont know how many people have actually read this post and given appraisal to me, and just stay silent on the forums. To be honest, it makes really no difference what other people think, they dont know me, so I shouldnt really care what they think. skiddo, how do you know when you walk along the street people dont ridicule you? its just the web makes it easier to hear what others are saying.

i have known ridicule - i bought a vauxhall over a lotus, but like you, i don't care. i think you are being naive - but again, like you say, your life. i don't know you, you are right. i only know you, on what i have seen on that site. i made up my mind about you from that and had a lot of fun yesterday with my friends at yours, your wife's and your friends expense. do i feel bad? do i fcuk. i think what you did was very wrong. in my opinion, for doing it, you get whatever is coming. the only thing that has taken away the fun, is you turning up and humanising it. you are very good at defending what you did - you have obviously had tons of practice. i'm done now. let's both get back to our lives. thanks for the laughs.

If you dont care what other people think, then why have you felt compelled to come on to a car forum and defend yourself? If you believe enough in what you have done, you wouldn't have felt this need.

Like others have said, there is no doubting the technical skill displayed on your site. I for one see no wrong in putting wedding pictures up for relatives and friends to see - many of us in this day an age have such people in far away places.

But it's as if you have turned it into a commercial venture, or indeed as an advert for your work (What's wrong with a simple page, using some free webspace (no need for the fancy URL)?). It's this apparent pimping of such personal material that a lot of people will find offensive. As Thorney said, some things are sacrosanct.

And it's all very cheesy.

"Enter the Marriage Website Experience" - what the fcuk?!?

edit to ask Scooter - would you shag Dido? :D

I would imagine that you originally made this site for yourself, your family and friends but un/fortunately it has been found by the larger audience.

I made SVCD's of my wedding and honeymoon videos and SVCD's of all the official pictures for family members so I do think I understand why you have done it.

I think it's a shame that people have picked up on it if it was purely for personal use. I would dread this bunch of tossers slating my wedding but then I don't put my wedding in the public eye.

It's just tough sh*t now.

have you checked out http://www.skiddosglovesandspunk.co.uk ?

Scooter, have you ever driven a VX? Are you going to get one so you can join our club? Or have we put you off, you'll cut-up every VX you see and tell everyone that we're a bunch of sad tawts?

WoW! this really got hot. Just proves to me whatever we "publish" on the web will attract good, bad or indifferent responses. We all have our own unique outlook on life and some of us are prepared to actually say what we really think, whilst others (like me) are perhaps a little more careful about not hurting others feelings. On here, we're all free to express ourselves as we want, but we have to accept critism, just or unjust. If we don't like it, we have the power not to look! Just for the record, I directed a girlfriend of mine to scooters wedding website - she thought it was sweet

I'm with you TT - this has made me laugh out loud for the last 30 minutes. Luckily, I am at home and not at the office. Jim - god bless yer, the first time I have ever seen the phrase "disengenius shite" on the forum!! Scooter - not sure you fully know why you did this - you seem to have changed your mind a couple of times in justifying yourself. bottom line is you don't have to but you did put it on the (and there's a clue in the name) World Wide Web. I do find something slightly voyeuristic about filming the proposal - was that your first or have you sent the previous ones to you've been framed?

Good plan, Bob. Hang on though, have you thought about the emotional upset that complete strangers might cause you if they look at your website and make fun of it? You know how some people can be very cruel and poke fun at things that are essentially none of their business. Could be worth thinking about before you start.

I'm a little concerned that there are video clips of the proposal, stag & hen nights, wedding and also the honeymoon available for all to see. Looking at the cast list...please please please don't tell me there is one of the wedding night
