Does this price include new spring platforms as most will be corroded away by now?
pass but I'd guess its re charging and changing seals mostly. anything broken or rusted away would be extra. I could be wrong though.

Just interested as i got a set of Gaz coilovers to replace my bilsteins's. My spring platforms were split and corroded, dangerous really!?
Do ya think that we may see some accidents soon if these corroded spring platforms give way? As some vx's are 8yrs old now...
Well it simply wouldnt be right if we didnt start some sort of mass hysteria would it lol.
Tbh for that cost, you can simply chuck on a little more and make the move to new adjustable spring/dampers with the GAZ stuff... makes an ideal OEM replacement really

LOL, now new owners have the constant worry of their shocks collapsing, along with the radiator blowing and the engine mounts grinding, not to mention the rear tie bars creaking and hubs breaking on fast corners. Joys of vx'in

Thanks, useful information. I would rather have the standard Bilsteins than any aftermarket shock.
No problemo. Contacted them via the German website and an hour or so later got an email from an address [yaddaya]@kruppbilstein.co.uk with contact details for David. Straight forward really.
I'll call them soon about the spring platforms and state of restoration painting wise and all that. They can change the compression and rebound rates when they go in too. But thats not really the point is it...
To give you an idea of services here is a link to the US site as a UK one is near on non-existant

Adam I think they probably can but maybe best you give them a call, so you can explain your requirements a bit better than me.

Yes
If they are cream crackered they will just replace them as they have plenty lying around. The new one's are coated too, the old ones corroded apparently
or you can buy the seats seperately for £6.49 each + VAT.
Anything else can be done to your hearts desire but you'll need to call up for a quote if you want anything fancy. They will clean them up.
