London is bone dry. Essex is ankle deep and snow falling heavily.
Needless to say, every train is cancelled today.

Even the ones where there is no snow. Just in case of course.....

15cm here this morning in darkest East Anglia 😩 It usually misses us 😜but the way that the various authorities are reacting you would think it is 60cm. Schools closed, bin collections and post services suspended, people staying at home rather than going to work. FFS most of the roads are clear, we really have turned into a nation of softies 🙄🙄
I believe the derogatory term is to call them a snowflake , which is very apt.

We have a foot in some places now. The main roads are fine but getting through smaller roads is just impossible, the snow just piles up and compacts under the wheels making a very effective wheel chock. I been digging more that driving this morning.

Shall I start a whip round to buy Rob a decent pair of shoes? Sandles in this weather, FFS!

We haven't got all that much snow, what's unusual though is the low temperatures. -6 last night with windchill -12 and -4 all day today and windchill -8. Llyn Mair was frozen over yesterday but not Llyn Mymbyr but Mymbyr also froze overnight and some rivers are now frozen over. Pen y Pass was slightly iffy today but mainly due to snow drifting in the high winds but Capel Curig roads were clear as was the Crimea Pass surprisingly.

Lovely. I bet it's pretty up there now (once the cloud lifts), lovely walking up in the hills.
