the garage is what I would call messy!!!

If you can see less than 1sq foot of floor then its defined as messy :P

I had another trip to see Paul on Tuesday, to sort out a few little bits. As before I was really happy with the service and general standard of work. Paul also got some pictures of the rotrex 'charger sitting in place - looks like its going to be a very neat installation. Looking forward to the finished kit becoming ready :groupjump: And Paul also deserves a big thanks for helping me get my deer damaged front clam repaired to a very good standard and at an extremely reasonable price - cheers Paul!

Thats ok you were busy at work which is what i like to see. Honda Exige seems like a good idea to me.

My car cleaner than slindborgs dont believe you. Lol

What do you do for MOT's, take the car to a local garage. Do you do a sort of pre MOT check? My MOT will be due about april time, i had castle sort the last one for me!

Cheers

I thought I was being nice and gave it a wash (had some time on my hands) and ended up getting told off! (cant win ;) )

I think the 340R geo is quite common, it's not actually all that aggressive :)

Not massively, but there is the 340R race geo aswell but given robs application (road with 1 or 2 track day, currently none, and as a daily commuter) this seemed to fit the bill.

Glad you can feel the difference :) the garage is what I would call messy!!!

This is something I would like to get done. Hope you can answer a question for me though Paul. Does changing the geo involve changing the camber shims? If it does do you then change the hub carrier bolts when you do the geo?

Cheers in advance

Easy answer: Yes! When my geo was done at Sinclaire's I was charged parts only (£10) for 10.9 hub carrier bolts. They said they would just pop them in whilst doing the geo.

Yes Castle used mercedes benz in stortford for mine last year. Off the top of my head i would say its about march time so yes nearer the time!

Have i ever seen slindborgs car? haha! That was my first ever vx220 experience. I had a look at his and went out for a spin in it a week before collecting mine. I think it was the dashboard numberplate and the lack of any dashplates at all that sold the vx to me.

Dont worry if i bring mine in to be worked on it will be freshly cleaned. Cant be having it dirty can we!! lol

Ok, so just to add to this, mentioned earlier in the thread that I've had the Geo done, went back a couple of months ago to have some matt black vinyl work and my rattley milltek exhaust looking at and got back yesterday after having my Larini fitted and some more black vinyl stuff like wing mirrors!! Have spoke to Paul on many an occasion and its all good genuine advice not necessarily to get you to spend more for something you don't really need. It's notoriously hard to find someone to trust with a car like this and I'm lucky to say I have - so much so that I proudly wear the PSR logo on the car (apart from the fact that it looks cool too!!) Will be going back again and again!! Rob

Went to see Paul again last week to get my leaking driveshaft oil seal replaced - another top job thumbsup Although I am mainly happy to be moving to the SW, not being near PSR any more is a total bummer. Goodness knows how I will find anybody I trust enough now :( Some of my fave tracks are too far away as well. It's a great move for lifestyle, schooling and family but not the best VX-wise!

May as well link to a random old thread. Thank you again to Paul, Dan and co. for their work on my car over the past two days. As usual, thoroughly recommended....going the extra mile. Danke.

I have to echo Rob's thoughts on PSR. Brilliant service. Didn't charge for the little unexpected things that came up and did a good job at a good price. Really good engineers. I always have to resist the urge to ruffle Paul's hair when I speak to him face to face (he's that lovable), though. Big thumbs up from me. thumbsup thumbsup thumbsup
