I'm happy to keep steve (sizeten) company, so why dont we just book the hotel hes gone for. It seems a nice idea booking with the Lot boys and girls but the previous trips when weve done that theres been no real mixing anyway, as people tend to stay in the group they came with. Unless I hear otherwise, lets get it booked tomorrow. Martin s

Don't forget it takes the efforts of both sides to mix & sometimes the minority have to push a bit harder. Most of the LOT guys are a good bunch when you get to know them.

well we can always reserve the rooms and then cancel nearer the time if we find out where the LoT lot are staying. Normally you get up til 48 hours before to cancel with no charge or something like that. I'll check the cancellation policy on the website. I'll stay where ever, if there's a bed and a bar i'm happy :)

Don't mind about Hotel either. This one is mentioned on LOT but don't know if it's "the" hotel being used.

Paul cp, I didnt mean they were an unfreindly bunch, I just meant that groups tend to stick together and have breakfast, go out for meals etc and the groups tend to be lotus people and vx people. I have met some nice Lotus people. Martin s so are we going to that hotel or not everyone??

No cancellation charge applies prior to 19:00 (local time) on the day of arrival. Beyond that time, the first night will be charged. It's gone up to €61 euro's per night. have pm'd jjj, can we just for an answer off him before we book. ta :)

This is the other option, it €39 fixed rate or €56 flexi rate, it's a similar distance from the track. It will save us roughly 45 mins from calais. The drive won't be as interesting as what Steve has planned though, it'd still be 190 miles and it'll be mostly toll roads.

any thoughts?

If Steve has booked and has no cancellation options then lets keep him company, if he can move then 45 minutes closer is handy, especially if your not at your peak on the Sunday! Is the campanile one in the town, as even in town France can be dull, let alone on the outskirts. Martin s

I've had a look on review sites and can't get much info on it apart from it's easily accessable from the motorway and that it has it's own restaurant! That's it! it doesn't look like it's out in the sticks from the maps but who knows?!?

this is true to be honest, when we went to abbeville it was the vx's on one table and the lotus boys on the other....

No upsetting the locals, Jimmy. You know they have different rules, might not like taking a beating and kick off instead. No matter how old they are. :D
