I'd be interested in this. I've looked at wings but they all look a bit bolt on to me. I think it may be something to do with the alloy mounting brackets and end fences but I'm not entirely sure what does it. I'd like a nice one that looks like its meant to be there and I haven't just visited halfords. The lotus one manages this on the elise!

Please please please don't do it thumbsdown The white will look stunning when finished and whacking on an over size spoiler will only ruin a great car

Seriously, IMHO they all look pretty gash on the VX and the only justification for having one is if it were to improve handling. For this any wing would have to be reasonably large and reasonably high like the one on the back of the TMS Britcar 24hrs car.

There are a few on ebay - including a carbon one

Now we just need someone to come up with a way of mounting it so it doesn't crack the bootlid in half

Was looking at a 2 Eleven a few days ago and I think it may look fine on a VX

Given how far out of the air flow it is down there; would it damage the boot lid?

IMO only the turbo lip really suits the VX unless you a serious about competition. Wings on road cars tend to look to much "fast and the furious" for my taste. But everyone to their own! Moto-Concept has a number of variants, both turbo like (incl. one in CF) as well as wings >Link<

Bit too curved how? The TMS one is certainly curved towards the back of the car (so the middle is further back than the sides) but bear in mind that if you don't do this then either you have to have the wing hanging well over the back of the car, or you can't open the bootlid. (Unless you mount it on the bootlid itself, but that would look *awful*).

Im no boyracer chav who trying to `chav up` his vx to make it look something its not! Its a pretty modded car & that i feel will benefit from a wing for extra downforce at the rear. Yes the tms on curves round at the to match the curved rear of the vx & enables you to use the bootlid aswel, but i thinkits to curved & a rear wing looks better if it has slight overhang (my opinion). obviously i still want to use my bootlid so im looking into ones that are curved (slightly) & that the struts allow it to lean back enough so i can use the boot! When if i come to selll it & if the buyer doesnt like spoiler i will remove it & a guy i know who owns a mobile scratch/dent repair company can come & fill & airbrush the holes so you wouldnt know it had been there..... p.s. the moto-concept on is thumbsdown

I have a nice straight CF aero foil that I have never had fitted to my car as I basically haven't had the time to get it fitted. I would want it properly mounted to the subframe so that no stress is put on the GF; but I bought it prior to actaully having to use my boot. Hence the following ... The legs I have for it have awful feet and it is basically too low to have any effect - so I've left it off. The feet and legs are crap but the wing itself is plain, understated and not 'chavvy'. If I were to use said fitments, it will also render my boot useless as there wouldn't be enough clearance to open it. So ... I have some nice bling dressing my bedroom wall

I may result to buying a nice suited wing & making the legs from some thick CF plate which will mean i can tamplate it 1st to make sure i have enough room to use the boot!
