A version of the thorney one in say diolen or k-glass would be nice and should come in a bit cheaper. It may be possible to skin the end fences and mounts in glass to make it look a bit better then paint the whole lot. In fact it may come in loads cheaper to use a steel mount glass skinned and save the fancy billet alloy ones for the posh boys. Any thoughts?

Diolen is woven polyester. Its basically like woven glass but a lot tougher and slightly lighter. K-glass is a typo it should be s-glass (sorry) this is a newish type of glass fibre thats pretty light and rigid like carbon but also relatively cheap. Dull gray though so doesnt have the same pub bling factor. (older version of woven glass is p-glass, this is the hard brittle stuff we all know and love)

Its a cf one designed by the wing shop in Blandford. Its removable in about 5mins just 6 bolts to a frame in the boot to the sub frame. It was made for the previous owner (Barrybethel), probably too low to make much of a difference and when its on it makes it difficult to get into the boot.

I'm planning on doing a few more track days this year so will be interesting to find how much difference there is with and without. It was accompanied by an air dam at the front but that wasn't removable and couldn't live with it day to day.
