In the planning stage now. ;) Main thing would be the addition of 4 point harness. Anyone done this? Do I need to order a safety bar or is there somewhere easy to fit them and will the existing seats take them? If I need to change seats (which will be a pain in the arse) anyone got any recomendations on which/how etc?

You'll need a harness bar to fit 4 point harnesses. Check the Elise BBS, plenty of information on there. I think the S2 also needs a slightly different bar than the S1. Something to do with clearance behind the drivers seat when pushed right back. I presume the VX and S2 are the same. There are lots of different opinions re. using the standard seats with harnesses. Plenty of Elise guys have done this. The only issue which worries me is the shoulder straps separating in a heavy accident. A race seat with harness slots will avoid this. I'm thinking about fitting Geary's (www.eliseparts.som) carbonfibre sprts seats, which have slots for 4 or 6 point harnesses. Only problem is this option is not cheap. You are looking at £1500ish for 2 seats, harnesses and harness bar. Like everything, you pays your money and takes your choice. Gary

You could always go for the seats and harnesses that are in the vx220 sprint. Not sure what that bar going accross the passenger footwell does though? I''ve seen this in some highly specced up elises. So it's not a vx only thing.

Has anyone got the contact name for the people responsible for the VX Sprint? It was in the Autoexpress/Evo artivle but I've lost it.
