As per title. How do I reset the ECU? 2.2 NA.
I thought it was to remove fuse 8 for 30 seconds.
I have searched but couldn't find the answer I need.
Also, whilst my car has the std. map at the moment, when I get it remapped would resetting the ECU remove the new map?
Cheers

Couple of ways,
Remove fuse 8 and leave for 10-20mins. Could also remove a battery terminal.
If you have an obd tool can use that.

Cheers... I guess I've not been taking the fuse out for long enough!
I have an OBD II tool which links up to my laptop but the software is kaput. I've ordered an all in one hand held unit thingy majig now but won't be here until mid next week. I just hate that little orange light being on!
Thanks again

I removed fuse 8 overnight but my EML is STILL on - even after putting my EGR back to standard.

Does this suggest that there is something else wrong with my car? (The EML wasn't on before I removed the EGR and replaced it with blanking plate and cheater).
I love cars but hate them SO much when they play up. I've got and OBD II reader on its way so hopefully I'll know a bit more in a couple of days.
