Don't do it the way I did, all in one piece. Then with the whole thing loose I found out that there was 1 more bolt holding the heat shield on. The heat shield used to be fully intact.

I've posted over on Z22SE, but I was wondering if it were possible to drive it from the inlet cam

(that would deffo be the ideal place for it, otherwise things will get a bit tight!)

hmm, it's possible i suppose, you will possibly need an inlet cam from an astra or vectra because the vx220 one doesn't have the hex-shaped hole in the end like they do (I think they run some kind of air conditioner from it?). But remember the cam travels at (hmm either half or double I can't remember) crank speed... idunno if that's good or bad :P

I have some Comp stage 1 Cams, which were fitted to a vectra, and I think the have the thread in the end :) They're currently doing some calcs to see what size pulley would be required. On the charger above [biggest version] it would need ~200mm pulley, and the EGR protrusion from the head would be in the way, so would need to be geared somehow (can't expect people to hack up heads as part of a conversion!); tho the smaller charger units wouldn't need anything as big

Yep, the standard roof cleaning kit thumbsup I've also tried the Meguiars kit - the cleaner is a bit better than the Autoglym one, but the waterproofer is nowhere near as good
