Time to get this up to date

Thought it was time to update this

Little update.. Its been a while..

Tyres:
Needed a new set of rear tyres as my current set really are on their last legs, so ive just ordered a pair of new ones.

Suspension:
I had a creaking on the front passenger upper wishbone from a buggered bush and since ive been meaning to refresh the whole system i bought a full suspension kit which will replace every bush, toe link, drop link the lot.

Posted Image

Suspension 2:
My old coilovers were ok, but i decided that i wanted to upgrade them to some propper Monotubes, nitron were just stupid money at nearly 2K so i settled for the Gaz version instead.

Posted Image

Brakes:
I have some new calipers sat here and have for ages, they are uprated exige ones expecially made so you dont get a squishy pedal, they are 4Pot AP racing calipers with 2 smaller pistons rather than 4 large ones, I have just ordered a full set (front + rear) pads from carbon lorraine and they are CL5+ pads. (cant wait for these)

Body Work:
I have got the materials for the front splitter now sorted out so i will be making that over the next 2 weeks in time for the VX national meet at angelsey circuit. I've also got a spoiler which im borrowing from another member which im going to try out to see what i think before actually getting one

I've also lowered the spoiler about 15mm just so it sits slightly lower than the roofline.

Bought a performance box for next years season and tested it out the other day

the pbox runs were done in the damp so i had very little traction off the line, i actually managed a 4.0 dead to 60, im sure i qould get into the 3 second to 60 mark when nice and dry.

today was a day of diffuser sorting..
after messing about with the mayo in the engine cover i decided that the back of the clam where the diffuser goes was just not up to the job anymore and looked crap so decided to attach the diffuser good and propper.

i dont have many pics but here is the bit i cut off
Posted Image

you can see how cracked and damaged it had become from the bolts

a view from under the car
Posted Image

this should actually aid cooling

this is all in place
Posted Image

you can see here how much of the bolt i have left so i can raise and lower it..
Posted Image

All the bolts are just zinc plated or just crap i found in the garage so im going to go shopping for some nice new stainless bolts and redo them all and im going to get the brace bar powdercoated too.
