Yes you’re right, it gives the advantage of pushing very hard on the brakes without locking the front wheels. But as you say does requires a lot of leg power... Infact when i experimented with this, locking the front wheels was far from easy and when I did, getting back to unlocking the wheels was far quicker than with the servo. Perhaps it may possible to remove the servo and lengthen the brake pedal to increase the pedal pressure sufficiently To overcome some of the loss of the servo. The advantage of controlling the servo effect with a valve would be the ability to fine tune for individual requirements. It’s just that as said before I have not found anything on the market so far.. But I have always, so far found that servos take away some of the feel from the brakes..

(This is just an example, there lots of these for sale.)
But Swagelok we have at work and for sure we have something in stock I can try out.
(Just drove my VX for the first time this year and the braking is just so over-assisted..)

You don't have to lengthen the pedal. Maybe it is possible to lower the top pivot point a bit to increase leverage. (Or raise the brake cylinder attachment point, same effect.)

How do you rate the 1155's??

Like 1144's but a little less gravelly sounding in use. A touch more low speed squeal. I got them as they have a higher fade resistance and are supposed to last longer than 1144's.
